we booked this holiday for a last minute weekend away and we were not disappointed. the external pictures of the hotel are very accurate and it does look beautiful. it is situated in a small village approximately 4 miles from norwich and it takes about 15 minutes on the bus which leaves from the main road approximately 5 minutes walk from the hotel. there are two pubs within walking distance from the hotel and a tesco in the village.
the bedroom was very nice with the largest bed i have ever slept in. the bed was extremely comfortable. the bathroom was ok although we would have preferred a bath rather than the shower provided ( although the shower was good) .
we ate in the restaurant on the 1st night and the food was excellent - the belly pork in particular was sublime.
staff were uniformly excellent- an example of this was that when i said i would pass on dessert as there was no sticky toffee pudding the member of staff went to the kitchen and produced one at short notice and because it didn't come with toffee sauce and wasn't officially on the menu we were not charged for it!
breakfast was lovely.
my only minor criticism would be that the decore of the public rooms /staircase/corridors looked a little tired and dated .
i would have no hesitation of staying here again if looking for somewhere to stay in the norwich area.

I found this hotel by chance whilst searching for somewhere suitable to have a buffet lunch after my mothers funeral. The local pubs were most definitely NOT suitable in any way! I phoned Stower Grange and explained what I wanted, the owner was so kind and helpful and made it completely easy to arrange. The hotel has the kind of gentile elegance of a comfy country house, the staff were attentive and friendly but at the same time unobtrusive. The buffet food was delicious and all seemed to be homemade and fresh. The scones with jam and cream were fab! Everyone commented on how perfect it was. I didn't see the rooms as we weren't staying overnight but if they're as good as the rest of the hotel and you're looking for a peaceful setting just outside of Norwich or near the airport then this is the place to stay.

We booked this hotel for refreshments after my mother's funeral. It was the only place nearby that could offer us a private room, it was beautifully set out with tables and chairs for all. Very welcome for the older people in our group. We were welcomed by staff, greeted with tea and coffee followed by a delicious buffet and quietly looked after throughout. It was the ideal surrounding to end a very sad day.

Stayed here last night with my husband. We had a lovely room at very top of house with own private staircase. Room very clean and quaint with wooden beams in ceiling and lovely view over the leafy drive at front. Bathroom is always key for me and this one is very clean, slightly odd shaped arrangement with big shower dwarfing rest of room but all very neat and nice. Staff very helpful, dinner and breakfast lovely, only one comment, bedroom needs full length mirror please for us ladies!

We attended a wedding on 8/6/13. From the moment we arrived at the hotel the staff where outside to great us to guide us where to park as to not ruin photos later. We were then shown where to go to meet other guests. The Staff were attentive and friendly for the whole day. The wedding breakfast was served seamlessly, and the food was amazing. A great wedding and I would highly recommend Stower Grange to anyone and for any occasion.

Room Tip: We attended a wedding but did not stay over so unfortunetly cannot comment on the rooms

we spent the night at this little gem of a hotel after a family wedding, the bedroom was amazing, all named after herbs, the huge bed was so comfy and we had a lovely nights sleep. The wedding was seamless from ceremony to wedding breakfast to evening celebration. The staff were friendly and very hard working . The food was excellent and the welcoming cocktail was to good.Would love to return one day.

Room Tip: The wedding party took over the whole hotel and we all loved our rooms.

This is a really good family run hotel 6 miles from Norwich city centre. Excellent food both in the evening and cooked breakfast. Decor a bit basic but comfortable rooms and bed, both of which are more important. All the staff were great and couldn't have been more helpful. Highly recommended.
