A good value for money resort.
As many mentioned, the Male and constructions view from the lagoon beach is bad. When we stayed (last week) there is also a lot of noise from the constructions done by the heavy machinery.
There is no reef, while snorkeling you can see few nice fish and small sharks, but that's it.

Rest of the above it was a great stay, the island is beautiful and all comfortable.

Few tips:
1. Join the SPG club before you get to the resort and share your SPG ID with the resort. It would give you 10% discount on food from the restaurants and free food for the kids. Potentially also access to the Sheraton lounge.
We got upgraded from the island villa to a villa with a private pool.

2. Take the BB plan only and don't upgrade to HB.
HB upgrade costs ~100$ per person, with such budget you can eat at any other restaurant and choose when to go to the fest buffet

Sheraton island is huge, u got todo a lots of things. Many activities and entertainment. Besides there are live band, DJ, and some or the other things which keeps happening every night at the bar. Lovely place, great resort. Expensive but worth. Good for a 3days stay. Check out the pic below

We were here for 7 nights in this nice resort. The hardware of the place was pretty good and well maintained. Place and people well organized too. The double thumbs up were the staff working at the hotel. They make up the difference for the mediocre beaches. All the people working in the resort were very courteous and genuine in their smiles and attitudes. This makes a lot of difference to the guests. An extra thumb up for the wonderful staff of the Sheraton Club Lounge. Top marks for Miss Nafha, Anita and Charmaine whose warm and professional attitudes made the hotel shine.
Food and beverage was about 6/10-6.5/10.
Landscape 7.5/10-8/10.
However, the snorkeling trip was way not worth joining. Time given for the actual snorkel was too short and only one dive area. Costly as well considering the time spent and the close proximity to the resort. This discouraged us from signing up other optional tour trips over there. This area really needs improvement on its quality.
On the whole it's a lovely resort with wonderful people. Thumbs up and keep it up.

We had looked at a getaway and saw an advertisement for this location.

The staff were fantastic and we had a great time. We upgraded to a beach bungalow which was great. Nice size and outdoor shower. The island is small (about 1km) in length so you soon learn to wind down which was perfect.

Lots to do around the islands etc but it costs. Everything seemed expensive to do so we were a bit selective. Drinks (alcohol) was also very expensive as were meals outside of those provided.

The water bungalows have the best outlook with the rest facing towards the new development happening (east side) which was a bit disappointing and did create some industrial noise which while not totally overwhelming was not what we wanted on our getaway.

In all a great trip, however while we will come back to the Maldives we probably look at other places.
