We had read about this restaurant before our trip to St Martin and decided to try it for lunch. We were shown to our table by a lovely waitress and were fascinated to be seated overlooking the cow barn. So far so good. Our drinks arrived and all was well for a while. We ordered our food and then we waited. We waited patiently for an hour and when our food arrived it was far from being as we expected. My oeuffs cocotte were raw and the jacket potato for my friend was frozen. My husband's ribs were tough and overlooked. We pointed this out politely and our food was removed and eventually returned. My eggs were incinerated. By this time we had been there so long that we simply asked for the bill. A waiter then approached and asked if everything was ok. We said that actually it had not been good. The bill arrived with nothing deducted. We queried this and a very stern woman arrived who picked up our bill and tore it into pieces. She shouted that it was "on her" and that we were NEVER to enter her restaurant again. She and several staff sneered as we left and made us feel like English cheapskates which we are certainly not. We are horrified by our experience and would urge skiers never to darken this door. It will not deter us from re-visiting the resort as we have been to this area many times before, but we shall certainly be telling our many friends and colleagues who visit the three valleys to avoid this frightful place.
