First the positive stuff; good room with a fabulous view, in an unsurpassed position, round the corner from where it all happens in Pizzo in the evenings. Virtually impossible to find however, and parking difficult. We are old hands at Italian hill towns and the like but Pizzo had us well baffled and we would not have found the place if it hadn't been for a for a friendly local police-type person. As for Francesco, his travel agency seemed to be taking preference when we arrived at the B and B. He turned up eventually, with an off hand comment about us being very lucky to find a parking spot, after which a slightly chaotic check-in. As for breakfast the next day, quite simply the worst we have had in Italy, utterly minimalist, nothing fresh and near panic on Francesco's part when having to make one tea (dreadful) and two coffees (OK) at the same time. Our experience obviously at odds with others but maybe Francesco was just having an off day....or two. But for many the position in the town (assuming you can locate it) and the view from the rooms will trump all other considerations.
