Come to the Piazza Republic in the evening and watch the sky darken over the ocean (and maybe chat a bit with the old fellows, some of whom speak pretty good English). And, when it gets dark, have a seat at the Bar Ercole Gelateria and order a Tartufo. This nugget of gelato with a liquid hazelnut chocolate center is a specialty of the region, although no one does it like the Bar Ercole. The owner, Franco, modestly claims that his is the second best gelato in the world, but I'd rate it higher than that. And if a whole one is too rich for you, Franco will be happy to cut one in half so you can share with a friend.
Oh, and the Bar has WiFi; ask for the password and you can satisfy your Internet craving along with your chocolate craving.
