“Stay-aboard Flower-Pot Island Boat Tour”
Reviewed 19 August 2014

We very much enjoyed the boat tour and the kids had lots of fun. The boat was well maintained and clean. If you have trouble climbing stairs take care while going to the top deck while the ship is moving and watch children closely. The crew provided a great history review of the scenic stopping points and ship wreck. There was lots to see and for our little ones ranging in age from 5-9 they had a great time and loved the entire tour. Recommend that you bring a hat and sunscreen if you intend to stay on top deck and also a windbreaker jacket that is waterproof as there is some spray if you're at the front of the boat and the water is choppy when going at full speed. Crew were very friendly and eager to answer questions for children. Highly recommend this boat tour for a visit to Tobermory.

“Flower Pot Island Cruise”
Reviewed 10 August 2014

We took this cruise to the island and had a wonderful time. The tour boat stops in Big Tub Harbour where you can view two underwater shipwrecks from the side of the boat. The crew give a nice history lesson on the wrecks and some history of the island as you approach. There are a number of things to see on the island and I would recommend at least 3 hours to stroll around the island. The hiking trails are pretty easy to the flowerpots and the lighthouse but get a bit more challenging if you take the inside trail to make the island loop. Overall this is a wonderful half day trip and well worth the cost.

“Great Day trip with Family”
Reviewed 6 August 2014

First make reservation on line for the boat ( to go and to come back) if you want to go for a ride or visit Flowerpot Island. Enjoy

If you plant to stay at Flowerpot Island and have kids take at least 4-5 hours between boats this way you would be able to enjoy everything on the island and still have time for a little swim and long walk but make sure to be back on time for the boat or you are s. out luck to get back.

Otherwise enjoy

Thank you for the review! Advance reservations are recommended especially on weekend in July and August and most definitely on a long weekend. The more time that you can plan for to stay on the island, the more relaxed your time there will be. Allowing you to poke around on the trails and enjoy a picnic and the wonderful views that the island offers. We hope to see you again soon.

“25 Min cruise with two sunken ships and flowerpot”
Reviewed 5 August 2014 via mobile

We liked the cruise on the speedboat ($33) but found it to be a short ride to the sunken ships. We did opt for the 25 min as all the rest were full. So pre booking is a good idea. The two sunken ships were in big tub harbour and were literally right next to each other. If your looking for more of the sunken ships this may not be the best option. Side note, to get on flowerpot island you have to pay for a permit. It was fun though an our group had a good time

Thank you for your review. We also recommend pre-booking your cruise, especially on weekends in July and August and definitely on a Long weekend.
Although Fathom Five National Marine Park has several shipwrecks within it, the two in Big Tub Harbour (The Sweepstakes and City of Grand Rapids) are the only two that our cruises can take customers to. The others within the park are either too far from our regular route or are in too deep of water to be able to see from the surface. Flowerpot Island is owned by Parks Canada, therefore each person getting off onto the island is required to pay the Day Use Fee.
We are glad to hear your group had a good time, and we hope to see you again soon.
