We consider ourselves fortunate to have booked this fantastic cottage during the first week of October . We very much enjoyed our day hiking on the Bruce Trail between Lions Head and Tobermory with the Captains Bridge as our luxurious base camp.
This cottage is wonderfully located on the very tip of the Bruce Peninsula. It has a direct view of Flowerpot Island on the horizon and boat activities including the multiple daily sailings of the Chi-Cheemaun. The cottage has a huge wooden deck with glass panels right off the dining area with ample outside sitting. There was also a lower wooden deck closer to the water's edge. We spent many hours on these outside decks. The dark sky views of the night time stars were magnificent.
The entire property was extremely clean and well maintained inside and outside. The inside of the cottage was tastefully decorated throughout with a nautical/captain theme. The pillowtop bed was very comfortable.
The property was extremely private and was a nice 10 minute walk to the town of Tobermory... and also a 10 minute walk to a beautiful private lagoon on the shore of Georgian Bay.
We enjoyed a few wonderful suppers in the dining room of the Grandview Motel located just minutes from this cottage.
We certainly hope to stay at this property on our next visit to the area!
