“Greek hospitality”
Reviewed 24 July 2014

This is the third visit to this restaurant. Recently taken over by a Greek family there is quite a varied menu. We stuck to the pan fried whitefish which we found to be delicious. We also had bacon egg toast and home fries for breakfast also very good. The place is a little dated but clean and the staff very friendly and efficient.

“Food was Horrible”
Reviewed 23 July 2014

We were staying at the hotel so made a reservation there for dinner.

The dining room is large with a tasteful Mediterranean decor. There is also seating available outside.

We chose the three course special which was a garden salad, some sort of beef stew, lemon rice, and dessert. The salad was okay, however the beef in the stew was extremely tough. We just ate enough to fill the hunger gap. The rice pudding for the dessert was marginal. I would say that the lemon rice was the tastiest part of the meal. There was only one other couple in the restaurant so that should have been out clue.

Our server was excellent and very friendly. We advised her that we were not happy with the main course and did not expect her to deduct the cost of one of the meals from our bill which she did.

“average”
Reviewed 22 July 2014

There are many restaurants to choose from within the small town. Since we were staying at this hotel, we thought we would try their own restaurant, the new York strip loin was recommended by a local artist. He told us to ask for the peppercorn sauce with the steak. We both ordered the same meal and when it arrived the steak was tender but it was smothered with this sauce, I would rather have the sauce on the side. The vegetables were bland and smothered in butter and needed salt. Over all the meal was good. The service was good and the staff friendly. The morning breakfast was similar to most breakfast places, they offered eggs in about 6 different ways with side orders of the usual sausage, bacon and ham. We are tea drinkers and the one thing that just did not sit well was the temperature of the water for tea, it was just hot enough to drink to enjoy over a period of time, and if you left it for a few minutes it would be only luke warm. Many different places to eat and we recommend trying the local fish. Georgian bay white fish was very good.

“SOME PEOPLE”
Reviewed 18 July 2014

Read the reviews and had to see for myself. Wife and I stopped in at 5:00 pm today and had made reservations ( suggested). We were greeted professionally and seated right away at our selected table. A carafe of water and warm bread were delivered right away as we made our selections. Wife had a small greek salad which she could not finish as it was so large and tasty. I had the ceasar shrimp salad which was supposed to have 6-7 shrimp but actually had 10 LARGE cooked and warm shrimp. Both meals were VERY tasty and filling. The decor was very inviting in a mediterannian ( not sure) theme. Dinner music was enjoyable but subdued so that you could have a conversation with you company.
This is place to put on your bucket list if you want more than burger and fries.
