“Great value for an authentic family run hotel in a fantastic location!”
Reviewed 3 July 2013

This small family run hotel is a jewel in this beautiful peninsula. Rigas and his wife Dina welcome you and treat you in such a special way that you can't leave this place without nostalgy. Rooms are simple but well furnished. Prices are low to very low (I paid 35€ per night for my 3 persons family).
See and private beach are right in front of the hotel, literally 10m from the nice wooden and stone patio.
Go there and you won't be disappointed. Don't expect a 5* hotel but count on a 5* experience. And this is priceless...

My family and I stayed at Xenios Hotel in Pefkahori for 4 nights during a family vacation/wedding in Halkidiki. Xenios Hotel was definitely one of the most memorable and enjoyable experience.

I will warn travelers that finding the hotel is difficult. There is no address. Basically once we knew we were in the village of Pefkahori, we parked our car on the main road and find the hotel by foot. We had to ask several people for directions and walked up and down the boardwalk until we found it.

Once we arrived at the hotel the family and managers at the hotel couldn't have been warmer or more helpful. We had 2 cars filled with suitcases and the sons helped carry each of them 2 floors to our rooms.

This is a small, family run B&B so rooms are modest. We had two beds and a bathroom and that's really it. However, they were clean, the beds were comfortable and the breeze from our balcony was the best sleep medication. Plus the air conditioner worked really well and was a lifesaver during the 100+ degree weather we encountered.

Our room slept 3. So we had a queen bed and a single for our daughter to sleep in. We had a direct ocean view in the front of our hotel. We used the balcony at night to have a cocktail and people watch. It was a great feature.

There is a cafe downstairs so every morning we were able to have a coffee and a huge bowl of fresh fruit which was amazing. And we were able to have a glass of wine before hitting the boardwalk for dinner.

The location was great. Conveniently there was a market next door with tons of fresh fruit, alcohol and other sundries so you don't have to eat out for every meal. they also sell beach gear so you can get your floats, towels, etc. We were there every day, I think.

The hotel has its own beach right in front of the hotel. They do service on the beach so you can get a beer or coffee throughout the day. And you're right on the boardwalk so there are many restaurants and things to do right outside the front door. There's a small carnival down the way which was fun for our 6 year old at night.

I hope to come back to Halkidiki and would definitely stay at the Xenios again. The price was great - 45 Euro a night. Our hosts were so warm and gracious. We felt right at home. It's a great value, a beautiful place and a comfortable bed. It's not the Ritz.
