The best feature of this hotel is the service. Examples include
1) We arrived very early to check in (before 10 am). Not only did they offer us an early check-in, they gave us free breakfast while we waited the 20 minutes it took to prepare our room.
2) I had a problem with the safe in my room. Help arrived in less than 5 minutes.
3) my daughter dropped her fork on the floor in the restaurant. Replaced within seconds

The grounds are lovely. Pool overlooking river is very nice, with separate shallow areas for kids. There is a nice outdoor eating area overlooking the river. They light the trees up at night, looks very nice.

Only negative point is that music around pool is louder than I would like, and goes on later at night than I would like. Suggest that if you want a quiet night you should request a room at the end of the hotel opposite the pool, although the view won't be as nice.

Overall, would definitely recommend.

I stayed here for one night on 27 Feb. 12 as part of the visit in Pakse. This hotel is located on the Mekong River bank, right next to the Laos - Japanese Bridge.

Next to the hotel there is a Friendship Store (Opening Hours 08:00 - 20:00), where you can stock up any necessities. The store accepts both Laos currency (KIP) and Thai Baht. There is no 7-Eleven in Pakse, so don't imagine that you can walk out at midnight to get a can of beer.

From the hotel you can also take a 10 min. stroll in the morning to the local market.

My room is on the 4th floor facing the bridge. The view is fantastic! The room and the toilet is very clean.

Breakfast starts at 6am. Nothing special, egg station is very crowded as there are only 2 staffs trying to cook all the eggs.

Room Tip: Rooms on higher floors have better view. Ask for the rooms facing the bridge.

We stayed here for one night and it's quite enjoyable. The hotel is new and very clean. I got deluxe room on 8th floor with a lovely view of Kong river. It's located right next to Japanese - Laos bridge. The hotel has free wifi but the signal wasn't strong in my room.

We went for some drinks at the restaurant & bar right next to the hotel. The food there was great and pretty cheap. The hotel also has massage service but only 5 staff available so I didn't get to try as it's fully booked. There is a nice coffee shop on the other side of the road called "The tea room" with modern decoration and nice bakery. The local market also not far from the hotel and you can walk there.

Room Tip: Ask for room with the view of Kong river.

The best choice in town, in terms of position, facilities and management.
We were able to negotiate a discount even during peak season and paid the equivalent of $48 for double superior room inc breakfast and airport transfers.
the Riverside cafe has to be one of the best on the Mekong, they have live music every evening and large Beer Lao won’t break the bank at $1.20, o a whole deep fried river fish for a round $4.00.
There is a very large pool overlooking the river, which we had to our selves during the three days we spent there.
The hotel is situated just five minutes’ walk from the New Market and towns largest supermarket id just outside the hotel gates on the corner.
Free internet, gym, English movie channels and 24 hour service with a smile ;-)

Stayed here overnight as part of a business trip. This is probably the best hotel in this part of Laos however, it does lack in some areas.

Rooms are well-sized, with full king/queen beds. If you've ever stayed at Lao Plaza in Vientiane you'll understand this comment.

Baths are well sized with standard soaps for a hotel i.e. not the best.

TVs are tube TVs, no LCDs.

Absolutely no irons/boards in the room, nor were they available from the front desk. Either arrive wrinkle free or use the steam from the shower. If you have more than a day's stay they'll happily press your clothes for a fee.

Last, no safe in the room.

There was a nice terrace restaurant and bar with good foods and drink selection.

The breakfast was good, with standard fruits, eggs to order, and asian style breakfast items also.

Would stay again, even with the couple of inconveniences.

This hotel has fabulous views over the Mekong and sunset from the room was fantastic. The breakfast was a mix of Lao and Western and the pho (noodle soup) was authentic. Pool is big but no one there, even in the hottest time of the year. Compared to other up market hotels in Lao I found this one offered better facilities, food and rooms for the money. Staff were all very friendly as well

Room Tip: Towars the front on the main entry side for a sunset view

3 Canadian friends stayed for one night. Had planned to stay 2 but they were sold out second night. At $65 US, the average rooms were priced high relative to other places we stayed. Service was outstanding. Food average. Internet service (wifi in lobby) was very poor. Think twice if being wired is a priority.
