The country park is a clean please lovely for walking mounting climbing and taking children on a day out as it has a big park and a sand pit for younger chilldren. Has facility's for all and a cafe food is nice but a bit on the expensive side. Over all would recommend for a day out.

We have a Motorhomes and at this time of year we use it a great deal. We decided to go to South Wales. We chose this site at random and I am so please we did, plenty of room, toilets, showers etc. The views are great. The big plus is that as a country park it has a great little cafe right next to the site.
Would highly recommend a stop over there.

Spent a lovely few hours with family strolling around the Dare Valley Country Park. The grounds were immaculate with walks of varying degrees of difficulty clearly markred. There are plenty of areas equipped for visitors to sit and enjoy the views and to picnic, with areas catering for little ones with sturdy play equipment which is placed on a softplay surface. The visitor centre has plenty of information leaflets, including maps of the park showing the walks and facilities (these are free), and staff who are very helpful.
There is a pleasant cafe serving a varied menu at a reasonable charge and there is also an outside seating area where meals may be taken. There are very good toilet faclities and free car parking. Entry to the park is also free. There is a calendar of activities available to suit various age groups throughout the year (although we did not sample any of these).
We all thoroughly enjoyed our outing (five of us with ages varying from 23 months to 56) and will certainly be visiting again. It's the type of place that you could 'pop' in to for an hour or stay all day.

This is a little gem of a campsite. The touring pitches were large, although a little boggy in places on the grass. When we pulled up there was a locked gate so we had to go and find the key in the nearby reception area. Quickly checked in, given a pitch number and asked to pay £10 as a deposit for the padlock key. We were also given a code for the shower/toilet block. We pulled up at our allocated pitch, but someone else was already on it! A quick telephone call later, we were told to choose our own pitch and give them a call back. No problem, it wasn't busy and we found a lovely big pitch. Initially we were quite concerned that the site would be noisy but after about 9pm we didn't hear a thing (the weather probably had a lot to do with that though!) The shower blocks and toilets were clean and the only disappointment with the site itself was the lack of recycling facilities. Dare Valley itself has some lovely, clearly marked walks although when done in the rain waterproof boots are a must as it is very, very muddy and wet in places. We didn't sample to coffee shop, but it looked pleasant enough. Overall I would recommend this site. Be warned though - the drive up to it is via a narrow residential street which is quite difficult to negotiate. We met a tractor coming the other way and with neither of us able to reverse easily, it took quite some maneuvering to get past.

Decent food, quality and quantity. Nice surroundings. Pleasant staff. A selection of light bites or something more substantial if required. Well worth a visit.
