We stayed in Room 2 with my 2 year old. They very kindly supplied a proper bed for him instead of a travel cot. The room was very clean, spotless white bed sheets and fresh white towels in the shower. We stayed two nights and the second day when we came back we had a welcome surprise that our bed was remade and the towels were hung properly from the towel rail and toilet cleaned. I have never stayed anywhere with such a great service. Hats off. and yes the pets are the friendliest i have found anywhere else.

Room Tip: if you can, choose room 1 for great views and enjoying the architecture of the building. although ro...

We arrived to be greeted by Ginny, who helped us with our bags and gave us a very warm welcome. After showing us around and then to our room, we were offered a pot of tea and some beautiful lemon cake. Everything about the B & B was explained, along with details about the village, with both Ginny and Des proving to be the most friendly and welcoming of hosts. Our stay was ended with a gorgeous and plentiful breakfast, if only we had been able to stay longer!
The Old Chapel House is not a hotel, but an exceptional B & B, long may it prosper.
Thank you.

Room Tip: For extra space, and that added special touch of character and comfort we chose room 1 in the roof o...

On arrival at The Old Chapel House we were greeted with tea & cake, much welcome after our long drive. Our rooms like the rest of the establishment were spotless & very comfortable. The breakfast choice ranged from full English to cereals and everything in between. Summing up, a fanatic bed and breakfast which I would not hesitate to recommend or book again.

You can tour all of Cornwall from this location and what a haven to return to each night, with a good pub within easy walking distance for an evening meal. Our three night stay was top quality in every aspect and we would not hesitate to go back again. Thank you Des and Ginny for making us so welcome.

I love this place.
We spent 8 nights here , met new friends, met Ginny and Des.
I'll always remember their lovely manners, their kindness and their true sense of humour.
Lovely furnished, the Old Chapel House is a place where I could live in.
I also liked the small town of St. Mabyn, where there is a nice pub selling a good selection of beers.
Be back soon, promised.

Day 38 of my walk to lands end and The Old Chapel House has to be the best so far. Very welcoming with great cakes and tea, a truly stunning room, great bath to sooth the aches and just the most helpful hosts, thanks again.

A very enjoyable overnight stay again with Ginny & Des, the welcome as always first class, with tea and cakes. All aspects of the bedroom room were very homely and warm, including the ginger biscuits. The pancake breakfast was a delight with plenty of fresh coffee and toast, after a fresh fruit starter. We had an evening meal at the pub at the bottom of the lane which was well presented and tasty. If your are looking for somewhere to stay in Cornwall it's stop Here !
