We have recently retuned from Century Resort, Acharavi having spent 10 days there Sept 11th to 21st 2013 and booked the week before via lastminute.com, but only after we checked Trip Advisor reports! We arrived in middle of night due to flight delay, but reception were expecting us and we were given complimentary water bottles from fridge before going to our apartment. We were in 308 which had a lovely view of sea and gardens and was up a gentle incline and some short flights of steps to access which did not cause us any exertion but we are quite fit. We did not see any great climbs / hills to any apartments and the surrounding, lush gardens are well maintained. Breakfast was really plentiful and varied - hot and cold options available - fresh bread choices were really delicious, mini croissants some mornings too - eggs / sausage / bacon and many other continental choices available. Toaster was absolutely grand by the way!! Open verandah area very pleasant to sit out and eat in, although a bit wasp city but unlike their British counterparts they don't dive bomb you relentlessly - one flick and they go. Very cute mother and kitten present every morning playing on verandah!!! Pool area very satisfactory though not much breeze and tended to be quiet -pool bar serves great lattes and snacks are fine. All the staff were very friendly and helpful at all times - maid service terrific ( thank you Lina x) with clean sheets / towels almost every day if wished. Apartment was spotlessly clean and very spacious - there were just the two of us and would have slept 5 - some plug sockets were a bit loose at wall ( need attention, as would not be suitable for small children wandering) but worked with adapters ok - fridge fantastic, really cold and great freezer section! We couldn't fault anything and would definitely recommend - its so, so quiet at night, so plenty of rest and relaxation to be had. Mosquitos are an issue so make sure you are prepared with repellant and various soothing potions / creams - they still get you no matter what you use!!! Acharavi is a quiet resort which we found ideal - couples and families well suited. We ate several times at The Pumphouse - great food, excellent value for money. Always busy so you need to get there 7-8pm. Our absolute favourite was SKONDROS Restaurant, right at water's edge at the beach. If you cross the road at The PumpHouse and take the road directly to the left of Budget / Euro Car Hire and follow road all the way down it brings you right to Skondros. The family are delightful and also rent out sunbeds and parasol on the white pebble stretch in front of the restaurant. We spent every day there - sea and views gorgeous and sunbeds so well spaced you felt like you were on a little private bit of beach. (5 euros two sunbeds and brolly) we had morning coffees, lunch every day there and we would go down in evenings too at times - sunsets amazing. Family delightful and food excellent and such good value. We hired a car from Budget - would NOT recommend them, very expensive and car literally stank of stale sweat - the marks of which were ingrained in all the seats, had to spray car in morning before use. We also returned the car with same petrol as we had collected and they tried to charge us more but husband stood his ground - definitely would avoid. Kassiopi is so pretty, also went to Paleokastritsa .......found the view from up above it more enticing than the place itself which we thought overrated. On the cliffs above we stopped at Golden Fox complex - well worth a visit. They have a cliff top pool / bar with amazing views and if you buy a drink they let you spend the day at pool for free!!! We stayed there all afternoon and it really was fab - expensive coffees but worth it! Corfu town also well worth visiting - in summary, we had a terrific holiday. Acharavi was just great, the island is beautiful and we will return someday! Thank you Century Resort and Skondros for making it so special a visit!

Room Tip: We emailed before we arrived and asked for sea view and we were given that! Need to bring your own b...

We just have arrived back from our holiday in Corfu where we stayed at the Century Resort. Our overall experiences were great. The location was good, close to the town center and the best restaurants in Acharavi. We booked a studio and we got a 5 beds apartment instead which was really spacious. Our room was cleaned every day. It was located on the hill, but we didn't find it a problem at all. The staff was realy nice and friendly. We only booked breakfast and we were very happy with it. There was something new every day and there were local dishes as well. I don't agree with the reviews where others said that there were no eggs and bacon etc because there were boiled eggs, fried eggs, scrambled eggs or omletts every day. So had they bacon or sausages etc. Anyway when I'm on holiday I rather try new things than having full english that I can have every day. We always went out for dinner and there were really nice restaurants in town. We went back to the Acharavi Park and the Pump House couple of times. The beach is about 10 minutes away, but we only stayed there once as we hired a car and we were going around every day. We went for a boat trip and hired a motor boat also. This is the only way you can explore the hidden beaches you can't reach by car or walk. You can book trips at the reception. The north part of Corfu is more beautiful than the south so I would reccomend to come here instead of the south unless you would like to go for a booze in Kavos. Acharavi is ideal for couples and families. We will definitley return.

My partner and I have just come back after spending 10 days here. The hotel is lovely staff are helpful and kind. We had to change rooms as out first room was up the top of the hill and was too much for us but they moved us with no problems. I will say that the Mosquitos were everywhere and the products we took out were no good but there are things you can buy out there in the local shops that work well. We went bed and breakfast which was ok can get boring but there was a range of food that suits everyone. The pool bar staff were absolutely lovely had a great laugh with them. Hotel was 5mins or less to local shops, bars and restaurants there is a restaurant called Odysseus that had amazing food and very friendly staff. Would recommend and will come back again. Room service was brilliant clean towels and bed sheets everyday.

Room Tip: Rooms over 300 are based at the top of the hill so if you are not a walker then probably best off re...

We booked one week including breakfast through Neckermann from 28/08/2013 at 450 euros per person, and got room 53 (main building, above reception).
Room: reasonably clean, everything working, 2 airconditioners, 2 too small televison sets, separate bedroom, hard but comfortable twin beds, very badly finished and old but fully working bathroom, shabby towels, bring a mosquito plug-in!
Reception: quite efficient, helpful and friendly.
Breakfast buffet: nice breakfast, very bad frozen pack Douwe Egberts coffee and watery "juices", friendly staff, buffet very well organized.
Garden: quiet, well kept.
Car park: free but small.
Situation: not far, but far enough from main road with many restaurants, 10 minutes from beach, if you like it. We didnot at all and drove to Almiros every day. Without a car we would not have liked neither Acharavi nor neighbouring Roda, which appear to be horrible places for typical British tourists, and we would probably not have enjoyed the holiday. With the car, we now think the island and the local people are fabulous!
When you visit this hotel, notice the difference between the photoshopped official hotel pictures and reality, very funny!

Room Tip: room 53 does not have a nice view

My partner, me and our two children aged 9 and 5 came here for 11 nights. The hotel and villa were lovely. Every member of staff was friendly and genuine, from the cleaner, receptionists and waiting staff. The swimming pool is fabulous, with a shallow kids pool right next to it, and never any problem finding sunbeds even in the height of the season. There is also a good playground and kids' equipment.

The hotel grounds are lush and green, constantly watered and the apartment was serviced every day including clean towels and bedding if you want it. Breakfast in the hotel is great and offered everything we could have wanted, and went on until 10am so we could have a lie-in.

There was just a short 5 minute walk to the town of Acharavi. It was only a slight slope downhill - [we were led to think from some reviews that there was a 1 in 4 gradient to climb but this isn't the case]. ( If you don't to walk up a slight hill to your room, ask for a room near the reception / pool.)

The town is a bit scruffy in places, but nice to wander round. The restaurants near the beach are great. Walk down to the beach via the olive wood shop (right off the main road) - the nicest restaurant is at the end of the road right on the beach. Prawns in garlic were delicious. Sunsets are amazing. Loads of other restaurants to choose from and most were very good. Lemongrass is overpriced though in my opinion.

Beach is good but was choppy some days, so need to be careful with the kids.

The apartment was very nice and clean. Only suggestion would be a welcome pack on arrival with washing up liquid, sponge, cloth - so you don't have to buy them. Mosquitoes were not a problem for us as we took two plug in mozzy killers from home and sprayed anti mosquito stuff on every evening. We did see some people with nasty bites, so worth doing. The local shops sell the repellent and the plug ins.

Had a trip to Kassopi on the local bus, made a change and the harbour is pretty.

Room Tip: Ask for a room near the pool.

A perfectly nice hotel, lacks the extras to be excellent. It is set slightly uphill from the main road (5min walk). The "apartments" were lovely and big, with bathroom, kitchenette, separate bedroom, and living room. Tiny tv! :) The pool area is very nice and fun, lots of inflatables for both kids and adults to play (e.g. volleyball). Pool bar staff are friendly and it serves decent food & drinks. The breakfast buffet is generous and in some parts very nice (fresh fruit, bread, feta cheese) and some parts not so much (scrambled eggs, ham, "juice", coffee...). The place is full of mosquitoes (day and night) so bring repellent.

No towels are provided by the pool area so bring your own beach towels. Despite what the hotel information booklet says, there IS free wifi in the hotel lobby. Use of the room safe costs a lot extra, as does wifi in the room.

Overall, a nice place to stay, friendly, with good rooms, good location, but don't expect any extras from the place or the staff.
