We had high hopes of this place from the photos, especially my wife. It COULD be excellent if it were not for the attitude of the staff.
-they only "cleaned" our room (at 2pm) when we pointed out it really needed it. Consisted of throwing our duvet back on the bed, changing towels and nothing else. Very few other guests so they were not overworked.
-we learned that if, in China, one arrives at a hotel and the staff don't get their noses out of Internet to greet you then you have made a bad choice. This was a typical example.
-noise on the first night. A row in the room below us until the wee hours. When we asked for them to do something they apologetically explained the situation to the revellers who continued as if nothing had happened. We are 100% sure they were the owners making the noise. However when our guide explained our displeasure the next day they claimed it was "drunken guests"
-poor maintenance (eg the window onto the street outside, noisy tractors at all hours, could not be closed)
Based on our experience, highly unrecommended.
