Wonderfull friendly family run hotel.
Nothing too much trouble.
Fabulous design hotel in a beautiful area.
Food was excellent.facilities are superb.
Only 5 minutes from a traditional ski resort.
This hotel puts the competition in the shade.
Highly recommend a visit.
We look forward to returning.

Very nice, modern, design and kids friendly.
SPA is nice, only down side: the pool is a little bit small.
Nice staff, mainly women, which gives a very feminine touch to the place.
Rooms are big,, we recommend the ones with the mountain view and with wooden floor. Two toilets are very appreciated!
Good food, great variety even if one decides to eat every evening there (demi-pension regime).Always some simple food for kids available.
Only down side: the service at table was a little long in the evening
Excellent breakfast: wide range of choice, freshly made juices, fresh organic products, local eateries..
Nicely located, in a very calm narrow street, close to bridge.
Nice village. Close to Brunick. And cherry on the cake: it has a golf convention with pustertaal golf, which I definitely recommend, even for beginners (great teachers, from around the world)

A bit expensive though..

Room Tip: choose room with parquet and mountain view

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was great - especially the huge variety at the buffet breakfast and the homemade afternoon cake. The room was extremely comfortable and peaceful and had a wonderful bath for two with mountain views! A fantastic base for hiking in the mountains or road biking, and perfect for unwinding...

At the end of our road trip through Italy we would up at the Feldmüllerhof hotel in Sand in Taufers. And I must say that even though the hotel is a little over our budget, it's worth every penny, or eurocent for that matter.

The whole area, and to this the hotel is no exception, is more popular for winter sports than summer vacations, but to us the area is more than suitable for summers also. Beautiful rides through the Dolomites as well as numerous sports are the game around here.

The hotel itself is very beautifully designed with modern yet warm interiors. We were free of charged upgraded and ended up in a 45 m2 room with beautiful hardwood floors, large balcony and an absolutely fabulous bathroom.

The breakfast is perfect and fits every taste. The dinners we didn't try, since the prices were out of our range.

Finally what we can state is that the staff is very polite and helpful and in this respect more Austrian than Italian. The only drawback we could find is that since we were out of season at this hotel sometimes we had to search for members of staff.

But the best compliment we can give is that if come in the area again, we are sure to stay here again.

  • Liked — the fabulous modern interior
  • Disliked — nothing I can come up with.

We have just spent a perfect ski/ spa week at this hotel: very friendly staff and owners; impressive modernist interiors; excellent in house restaurant and mini spa facilities; and, child-friendly atmosphere. If you are a full on skier, then you will exhaust local pistes, incl Speikboden, but if you are skiing in a family with mixed ability and looking for friendly slopes and ski schools, you will certainly appreciate. One caution: you will need to look beyond the german/ italian website which is being updated to include English for next season (i'm told).

My family stayed here for a week over Christmas and it was absolutely wonderful. The hotel is family run and operated and yet it is all very professional and state of the art. They have a beautiful spa with full services and are 5 minutes away from skiing in the Dolomites. The hotel was extremely child friendly and there was a lot for our 3 year old to do. Christmas itself was wonderful - the hotel had Santa visit as well as carollers and a small mass. We had 1/2 board and the food was incredible. The bar was cozy with a wonderful wine selection as well as delicious coffee and teas. Our room was fantastic and so comfortable - heated floors in the bathroom and in our walk-in closet! I would go back to this hotel any time!
