Ate in the Newbridge on Usk yesterday and very impressed with the quality of food and service. Originally we were booked into The Celtic Manor but changed our mind at the last minute and glad we did. Haven't dined here for 3-4 years because the las time we ate there the food was average and the service awful. Thankfully now in the hands of the Celtic the food was excellent and the service was attentive and friendly. Between us we sampled most of the Sunday lunch menu - the gingerbread dessert was incredibly fresh and tasty.

The only thing they can do to improve the restaraunt is knock the heating up a notch and get some more guests.

Definitely recommend.

After a number of years stopping off going to Pembrokeshire, food was awful this year. Fish and chips and burger were inedible at premium prices for lunch. The food was taken off the bill but really not up to snuff.

This restaurant has over the years had it's ups and downs . We went there recently and found it to be perfect though slightly on the pricy side . However if they remain consistently good then the extra is worth it . Leek and cockle chowder and the pea and mint risotto were particularly excellent . The venue which is on the banks of the river Usk is beautifull . House champagne good value . Steaks great .

I have been here a dozen times in teh last 5 years. Amazingly it is alway quiet (it was rumoured to be owned by Radio 2 DJ Chris Evansuntil last year when he sold it out the the Cetlic Manor Resort Group) As nice as it is, the dinning area is usually fairly empty (I havent eaten here at lunchtime) and this is a bit off putting. The interior is lovely but for some reason the locals dont seem to embrace this place
