This is the ideal place to stay when visiting Brittany. Set in a lovely area with a beautiful sandy beach an easy walk or very short drive away and pretty Porte Sainte Marine just round the corner with its charming harbour and excellent selection of places to eat.

Anna and Bruno have real design flair and the old cidrerie has been beautifully styled with a very successful blend of old and new. The sitting room is very cosy in farmhouse fashion with plenty of books, comfy seats and jars of delicious sweets here and there in case you feel like a treat. We stayed in the room Molene which is delightfully modern, the fantastic large ensuite has a wonderful walk in shower and the subtle blue night lighting very welcome when wandering around in the early hours. It also has its own garden area and when we arrived we relaxed there in the sun sipping Anna's own cider - heavenly. Breakfasts are amazing with a selection of fruit, croissants, home made jams and plenty of coffee and teas. Night times are very quiet and we slept very well on a very comfortable bed.

We felt very spoiled and consider ourselves lucky to have found such a special place.

We stayed here for 5 nights in August, and were lucky enough to have sunny weather for most of it. Anne has done an excellent job in restoring this old cider press into a beautiful, modern, sunny place which has bags of character. Our room 'Ouessant' did not disappoint with the gorgeous bathroom in particular which I wanted to pack up & take home - the bath is amazing! We had our own private terrace at the back which was lovely for aperitifs before heading out to St Marine (there is a fridge for guests' use downstairs). Breakfasts were also a highlight - every day Anne puts something different, local and extremely naughty on the table - yoghurt with salted caramel, creme brulee without the brulee, local prune flan - even chocolate crispies made by her children. The personal touch really makes a difference.

In terms of location, the beach is a 15 min walk away along a path through a nature reserve, to Kermor Beach which is stunning. There is a cycle/walking path behind the dunes from St Marine to Ile Tudy which is very useful, we hired bikes so it meant we didn't have to go on the road to get into St Marine for dinner.

Couldn't recommend this place enough.

We stayed in 5 different places during this tour of brittany and this ws the best by far. from the start we were relaxed by Ann who made us feel welcome and comfortable in our fantastic room. The levels of trust made the stay even better we were left alone which would never happen in the Uk. The breakfast was world class with home made confiture and a wonderful clafoutis, Ann seemed relaxed at all times always with a smile! We are comiong back for 4 or 5 nights next time!

Room Tip: We stayed in Quessant a room that is spacious and private

We stayed here in early October, 2012, and I have been meaning to write it up ever since. This is a beautifully renovated farmhouse in an excellent location, near the sea, right in the middle of a protected wilderness area with hiking trails, and only about 30 minutes drive from the lovely town of Quimper. After 30 years traveling in France, this was my first visit to Brittany, and now I understand why people say it's the most wonderful region of France. Anne was a lovely host, and the rooms are a sophisticated amalgam of country and modern decor. (Their website is very accurate -- if anything, the place looks better than the photos.) Every breakfast had delicious baked goods made by Anne, most of which were traditionally Breton, like the caramelized apple clafoutis served in individual cocottes, and the tender, buttery Far Breton. She also served imaginative jams made from fruit grown on the property, like berry-hibiscus, pear-vanilla, and apricot-poppy, and treats like the wonderful local butter with crunchy sea salt, and yogurt with sea-salt caramel. The house has some nice features like a shared refrigerator for your picnic goodies, and outdoor tables for good weather. The family has an adorable French bulldog named Fermin, who is a charming and energetic little guy. (He won't bother you if you aren't a dog person, and he is not allowed into the inn, but if you love dogs you will love him.)

Room Tip: So quiet out here! Our room Ouessant was lovely, with a high ceiling and lots of space, and an awesome bathroom.

My husband and I have just had the privilege to stay in this lovely B&B. We stayed in 2 rooms during our stay - Ouessent, slightly more expensive and stunning with a high, beamed ceiling, fantastic bathroom and its own outside space and Belle Ile which is just as beautifully decorated, generously sized, very quiet and with hydrangeas and roses growing around the windows. Anne, our hostess, was great! She was so welcoming, friendly and couldn't have been more helpful in advising us about Brittany and where to visit. Her homemade breakfasts were delicious and plentiful and her clafoutis was to die for! Personal touches, such as champagne on our wedding anniversary and candles to light our way back to our room in the dark made everything very special. The B&B is also fantastically placed, with a lovely beach about 20 minutes walk away through fields and woods, the pretty ports of Sainte Marine and Benodet just a few minutes drive away and many beautiful Breton sites nearby. Thoroughly recommended!
