“A GREAT PLACE TO STAY”
Reviewed 12 July 2011

Firstly I think some reviewers must be writing about a different hotel. My wife and I stayed here for a week from the 25th June and absolutely loved it. We were given an apartment on the 5th floor with a great view down to the sea. The apartment had a good sized bedroom, a nice bathroom and lounge/kitchen area which had everything you would need if self catering.
The pool area is well cared for and clean with plenty of sun beds to go round (please don't put your towels on them when your going to be out all day) as many people did.
Our first morning we went to the bar/restaurant for breakfast and was amazed at the choice. We were greeted by James who explained everything to us and made us feel really welcome. Our waiter, alex, was also really friendly and helpful, as were all lthe staff. We ended up having breakfast and dinner here everyday and couldn't have asked to be looked after any better.
The Alpina has a small shop, a hairdresser's and a Spa and Massage parlour, My wife said the massage she had was the best she has ever had.
We had a great week and would recommend this hotel to anyone.
Thanks to all the staff, James, Jimmy, Alex, Tim and Nao, and everyone else for their kindness.

Room Tip: Ask for a 5th floor room overlooking the sea

Just returned from our 3rd trip to Alpina and it was just as good as we hoped it would be.
We love the place and the people and cant wait to return again.
Special thanks to Halil at reception for all the extra help that we required.
Thanks to Lauren, Nacci and Gino for all of the entertainment ( but it wouldn't have been the same without Jamie's support would it?)
To our friends James,Jimmy,Mikey,Alex,Thomas,Rambo,Neyo,Scooby,Sonnay and Yalcin it just wouldn't be the same holiday without your input guys.
Thanks for sparing some time to share some laughs with us.
I don't know how you guys survive all those hours you work but keep it up.
Even the bosses take time to speak with you at Alpina which again goes to make the holiday that little bit more special.
We stayed in a superior room for the first time and it was worth the additional charge when booked with Thomas Cook.
The rooms were kept spotless by the maids and clean towels and bedding were available every day if requested.
As for the negative reviews i can only say that there are very few rules in Alpina.
Simple requests are made not to leave towels on sun beds if you are not using them.
Some people believe that you can put a towel over a bed and leave for hours and expect other guests to go without.
Also you are requested not to bring food to the pool.
Very standard requests at any hotel or apartment anywhere in the world.
if these rules offend then i would say Alpina is not for you.
However with the amount of returning guests every year it shows that Alpina holds great affection for a lot of people but to anyone looking to stay for the first time i say please try it.
I don't believe you will regret it.

This is a fantastic family hotel, and cant fault it one bit. We have been going back to Alpina every year since it opened in 1999/2000. We really do feel part of the family now.
The food is great, hotel rooms are fab, have seen the new extension built to open up more rooms, which are spacious and decor modern. Pool is good and of a decent size compared to some you find in Turkey. When it comes to service and staff, they are a cracking bunch. Thanks to Gino and Lauren who heads up the entertainment team that keep you entertained day and night. Bar staff Josh and sonny, great service from them, no waiting for your drink with Josh on duty. Waiters James,Jimmy, Menaf,Mickey,Rambo make your holiday very enjoyable. They do work long hours all day and night and they really do make you welcome, and always have a smile and a laugh no matter what.
Halil is a great receptionist and Sid the cheeky monkey from the hotels shop.
Management are good too and make you feel part of the family.
I wouldnt want to go to another hotel in Marmaris as i no we recieve world class service here.

Room Tip: the new rooms on the extension have a good pool view, floor 1 is the walk through to pool and bar an...

Our initial room was on the 1st floor but it was too noisy, so we asked to move rooms, and they happily agreed, and we were moved up to the 3rd floor the next morning. Rooms were cleaned everyday and new towels were supplied every 2nd day. Pool was very clean, waiters would always be on hand to get you a drink or something to eat. Food was good and reasonably priced (try the "normal" pizza...sorry inside joke). Fishbowls every night....WE LIKE (ALEX :D). Entertainment was always banterable, kids club was suitable for all ages! Club dances are a must...always a laugh. Staff were fantastic...they made the holiday! Wouldn't be the same without them. Would highly recommend this hotel!!! Would definitely go back!!!!!!!!
