Villa Kruna Grada

We stayed at Kruna Grada with a 4 year old son and are absolutely happy with our choice of villa. Our room was spacious, breakfast was absolutely wonderful and the owners where nothing but helpful and welcoming at all times. The beach is a 3 minute walk from the villa with excellent bars and restaurants nearby. The swimming pool was spotless, there was always enough sun loungers in the shade and out in the sun. Highly recommend this property. Thanks a lot for such a pleasant stay to the owners!!!

Room Tip: Our room was facing the road but it was very quite at night, double glazed windows, enough space for...

i have just come back from Kruna Grada having had 2 apartments with my family a toddler and teen included .Very near to the beach just a short walk downhill .Friendly staff when they were available but difficult to find when needed.
We were 2 days without hot water before we were able to tell the guy who spoke english .There is a lady about but she is unable to speak english .
Having said this we would definately go back .It is very clean ,two electric rings ,no oven or micro. And enough crockery and cutlery .
Air con is included in the price.
breakfast is available if needed.
Very nice roof terrace we used for an evening meal a couple of times also.
Good restaurant at the foot of the hill 100yds away .And will do pizza takweaway
Supermarket over the rd from the beach and bakers for daily7 bread
An easy holiday for beach getting to Trogir and going to Split for the day.
Side of building best for shade in the evening and the 2nd floor has lovely sea side views although the verandas are small.
Expensive but it perhaps because you are near amenities .
Would recommend

About Trogir: I’ll keep it brief:

perfect place to relax, pretty beach (enjoyable 5minutes walk away from Kruna grada), amazing nature surrounding it, romantic for couples of all age. (see attachments)
At the coastline there a lot of small café’s where you can go for drinks or milkshakes.
1 beer (0,5 L) 15 Kuna = 2,10 EURO
1 milkshake (big) also 15 Kuna.

We made a reservation for 2 person for July 2010. During the reservation I informed the guy of the hotel that we would arrive at night. He agreed and said that someone would wait us up.
(Like someone said in an other review, it’s more like a big house/building with a few apartments which looks very modern and clean.)

Because of a late flight and we landed in Zadar, we had to take a bus to Trogir (trip lasted +-2h30). Eventually we arrived at the bus station in Trogir at 1.30 at night. (at that time 28°).
From there we took a taxi to Villa Kruna. Taxi coasted 100 Kuna, this is +- 12 EURO.

Someone who was waiting for us to arrive, was sitting outside. He immediately walked us to the room. We had room 11, which has a view of the ocean. When we first walked in, we noticed that the rooms were very clean, the floors really sparkled!! For 2 persons the rooms were more then big enough. In the freezer there was a bottle of sparkling water. The air-conditioning made it pleasant to sleep, adjustable down to 16°! (girlfriend didn’t like that though, but I slept like a baby). The air-conditioning is located in the dining room but when you leave the doors open for a while, the bedroom cools down fast.

Anyway, we took the breakfast for 2, for the first morning. There was a lady behind the counter who prepared fresh eggs and ‘hot dogs/sausages’. She asked: “How many would you like?” :) Next to that there were a lot of other things to eat & drink (tasty orange juice, coffee, thee). Breakfast costed 10 € / person. But it was really worth it, cause we ate way to much for that amount of money.

The other days we made our own breakfast, while we enjoyed the view from the balcony.

Always when I needed someone from the reception, somebody came within 2 min, even without me ringing the bell. The service was good, the people were very friendly.

We enjoyed our stay a lot! And we look forward visiting Trogir again.

Greetings from Belgium!!

This aparthotel is locatede just 2 minutes from the beach, and the harbour in Okrug Gornji. This is very good since pretty much the only way to get to the mail land (Trogir) is via boat. We didn't see any busses or taxis there.

The hotel it selv is clean, very well kept and plenty of room for two (beds for 4). There are a couple of problems thoug; first the door was closed and we had to wait for 15 minutes before we got in contact with a man who could open up for us. So no ordinary hotel, more of a house with apartments. The y do have a little reception aerea inside, but hardly anyone at work there. When we got our room, everything looked great and clean- so far so good. The first issue we had with the room was at night, when the airconditioner was placed in the kitchen/dining room, not in the bedroom. So we ended up sleeping on the pullout sofa in the dining room for the whole week, since the heat otherwise would be overwhelming!

There was also no cleaning og change of linens og towels for the whole week. I would have wished for at least one change!

Al in al, this is a great location in ciovo, and a good hotel if you are prepared for the level of selv service. There are actualy no hotels on the island of Ciovo, only this type of small aparthotels. So if you are going, I thing Ville Kruna Grada is a good pick.

We visited Croatia last year in July.
We had made the reservations 2 months before for villa Paula in Okrug Gornji.
When we arrived there the administrator of villa Paula told us that there were no rooms available for us even if we had paid them in advance. They had reserved the rooms twice and those who arrived first got the rooms. There were many tourists in the same situation and many of them ended spending their vacation in some other lodging with worse conditions.
We were very angry and after a few hours of terrible fight he came up with a sollution for us - Villa Kruna Grada which was much better than Paula.
The apartments were very clean and comfortable with a nice kitchenette which had everything you needed in case you wanted to cook. The bathrooms had a shower, clean towels changed when needed.
Some of the apartments had a balcony with a nice view.
The beach is very close to the villa. There is no swimming pool but you have unlimited access to the gym which is at the basement. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They speak German or English.
The only disadvantage was the fact that there were no places to have fun in the evening. Trogir is a few kilometers far from Okrug Glojii and you could take a boat until midnight, but after that hour you had to walk to get back.Cabs were difficult to find and quite expensive.
Okrug Gonjii is isolated and not the place to have night fun (few bars, restaurants and no club), but it's the perfect place to relax.
