Reviewed 7 March 2012

This is the place where we can past such a nice time with your family or your friends.
I'd love very well the service from the staff and specially the welcome.
The rooms are so nice that you can dream as a princess....
It's a wonderful place!

Stayed here for 4 nights with two kids. Beautiful french style. Loved the rooms and bathroom. Great breakfast room outside. Good breakfast made by two african lovely ladys.

Great service. But could have some more beer in the fridge (<:

The pool was OK, could have been more cleaned up, there were leaves etc. there. The kids enjoyed a afternoon jump anyway.

Walking distance to the beach and two great restaurants. Especially the italian was good, they also had a play room for the kids.

You need a car if you want to go somewere. Not much to do just around this place. But good for some relaxing days.

Free WIFI, but works only in the livingroom.

Since our first review of Petit Provance we became regular guests. With our last stay we stayed in the honeymoon room. This room is one of my favourite rooms it is so peaceful and quiet with a lovely patio in a stunning tropical garden with the pool just meters away. The breakfast is first class and served by friendly staff. It is clear that this is a successful B&B as they are continually upgrading the rooms and furniture. There is a authentic French provance atmospheres here that really add to the holiday feeling. This is a must stay if you are in the area.

My husband and I stayed at Petite Provence in their honeymoon suite for the last leg of our honeymoon in January this year. It is a fabulous B&B with great facilities, beautifully decorated rooms and hearty morning breakfasts. Having a pool was also a strong plus as many other B&B's we looked at didn't have access to one.

All this aside, our stay was let down by the fact that although we booked the honeymoon suite no effort was made to make it a special experience or stay. If you are going to market a honeymoon suite (at a more expensive rate that your other rooms) it should have a certain standard service experience - rose petals, sparkling wine on arrival, being greeted at reception - and offer the privacy and quality a honeymoon couple expects. None of these attributes were present and we were hugely disappointed in this regard. To top it off other rooms at the B&B were more private and of a higher standard.

I can't fault this B&B for a holiday stay, however it lacked the service and warmth one would expect in a B&B atmosphere and it shouldn't be advertising a honeymoon suite.

Room Tip: The Lavender/honeymoon suite is located directly opposite the pool which was not clear from the webs...

We booked in for 3 days in December 2011, facilities was great, but really found the staff and owner very unfriendly. Seemed like the fact that we are not tourist didn't help much. Each morning we had to go and order our own breakfast and the staff could hardly get a smile out. Such a pity when your accomodation is so expensive but the service is non existing.

Dear Jessica,
Thank you for taking the time to write a review, we are very sorry your stay didn’t match your expectations.
Your stay was actually early January not in December.
We thankfully had a record December and were fully booked the entire time, but this took its toll on our employees who were quite exhausted and unfortunately one staff fell ill and we had to employ a temp who was not as efficient …

Our staff has been praised many times for their friendliness and the owner has been known to smile on some occasions ;-))

A tranquil atmosphere, a stone's through away from the beach. We slept for two nights and received stunning service to say the least.

Every breakfast we were surprised at the variety of food set out to choose from. Served outside with soft piano music filling the air it was a French experience par excellence.

We have been to other guest houses in South Africa and traveled through Europe etc. But I feel that we finally found what we were looking for.
