A great spot - a little out of the way but so central to everything in Cornwall. Anne, the host, is delightful and we felt very welcome and comfortable.
Recommend a trip down the road to the Bugle Inn for a pub dinner... and only about 15 minutes to Padstow.

Ideal location for Cornwall's main attractions. Fabulous accommodation, exceptionally clean and very well set out. We had a double bed with a single bed in the room and an en suite (huge) bathroom together with the usual; tv and hospitality tray, table & comfy chairs. Lovely communal lounge area upstairs with dining area for breakfast. Breakfast was varied (from fruit, cereal, yoghurts etc., to full english) and was delicious. The outside has been renovated to a very high standard and provides a different place to wander around and have a seat outside. We had a lovely stay over 2 nights and would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone considering visiting Cornwall.

After reading the reviews on trip advisor and doing some more research I decided to book Carbis Wharf for two nights for myself and a friend as it has the most history.

The building is absolutely stunning and the rooms are beautiful. Our room was extremely spacious, spotless and very well decorated. The beams in the ceiling and wroght iron bed added to the charm even more. In the morning the breakfast was well cooked and the hospitality of Mrs Coad and her family was fantastic. They helped us immensly with planning our trip to the Eden project.

I would highly recommend this B&B.

One point to note - if you are feeling quite active then you can actually walk to the Eden Project from the B&B. It is 7 miles there but the walk is absolutely beautiful as you follow the Clay trails and see some fantastic scenery.

Just returned from a weekend stay at Carbis Wharf, what an amazing place. The building has been restored from an old china clay mine and is full of interesting things to explore.
Mrs Coad and her family are very friendly and welcoming. The accommodation and breakfast were exellent. There were four of us in our party and all would highly recommend this property

We stayed in a B&B once before but didn’t enjoy the experience very much & vowed never to repeat the experience.
However we both had holiday to use up so decided to visit the wife’s father in Cornwall but were unable to get in at our usual travel lodge.
The wife telephoned Carbis Wharf to see if they could fit us in as we were desperate to see the family ,the lady was very happy to help us out with a room B&B.
As you can imagine we were sceptical due to our previous experience but were greeted with warmth & lots of smiles.
Now the summary :

Breakfast was included in with the room & was excellent served with a smile
They could not have been more friendly or helpful
We were made to feel at ease comfortable & very very welcome
We were so impressed we asked to stay 1 more day but as it was full we were offered a self catering apartment , we took it but asked if we could have breakfast yes was the answer
The self catering apartment was no less than fantastic for us offering all the independence we wanted & top notch facility’s to cook just like a home from home

It’s a 10 out 0f 10 from us we will stay there from now on as we visit at least once every 2 months this is defiantly a Cornish Gem

Thank you so much for making our stay such a great experience in the words of Arnie ill be back

We turned up at the Carbis Wharf as orphans of a storm, without any prior booking, and we were lucky enough to secure a first-class room with en-suite bathroom, a comfortable double bed and a single bed had we needed it. The reception was very friendly and welcoming. The very clever and picturesque conversion from a china clay factory is only two years old and the furnishings and facilities are of a very high order. The cleanliness and hygiene left nothing to be desired. The breakfast next morning was superb - one of the best English breakfasts I have ever sampled. The biggest surprise was the price as we were too glad to get in from the rain when we arrived to enquire about it - we paid £50 for the two of us, including breakfast. At fifty percent more it would still have represented a good deal! The Carbis Wharf is idealy suited to anybody wishing to visit the Eden Project (a vast botanic garden plargely enclosed by geodetic domes) which is situated abut fifteen minutes drive distant.

Though the Carbis Wharf does not have its own restaurant there is no shortage in the vicinity of public houses serving dinner and the management directed us to one which gave full satisfaction. .
