We had the most delightful stay in Panarea in early October . On arriving by ferry from Milazzo via Lipari, a journey taking about 90 minutes, we walked onto the jetty and immediately fell in love with the island. The Hotel Lisca Bianca is very conveniently located a few minutes walk from the jetty, directly in front of the seaside promenade boasting amazing views to a cluster of small islands off the coast and the majestic, volcanic island of Stromboli which frequewntly emits plumes of smoke. On arriving at the check-in desk, we were warmly greeted by the owner, Angela, and informed that our room had been upgraded to a junior suite (room 208). The room was lovely having a very large bathroom with walk-in shower decorated with local ceramics and a beautiful terrace commanding stunning views of the islands and Stromboli mentioned before. Visiting Panarea in October has some distinct advantages if you are looking for a peaceful, restful holiday away from the summer crowds . In fact, we only paid €80 a night including a delicious breakfast served on a terrace overlooking the sea. The attached photos speak for themselves. Will definitely return in late spring or late September/ October.More
