We have just returned from a wonderful few days at the Palazzo Muro Leccese. This hotel really is worth a visit when in the south of Italy. It is beautifully decorated and offers guests a five star experience as soon as you walk through the doors. The bedroom we stayed in was elegant, spacious and very confortable; combining old fashion charm with modern facilities. The bed itself was worth the visit! Breakfast was supplied every morning by Liz and Ian and again, what a delight. Not just a coffee and croissant but cakes, wonderful fruit compots and much much more, Outside is a wonderful terrace where we enjoyed a drink before setting off for the evening. There are restaurants nearby and if you are hiring a car make sure you stop off at some of the most beautiful Italian lagoons which are no distance at all. The whole expereince was a delight and and the hosts, Liz and Ian, are a delight too!

When you stay at The Palazzo for some days, your idea of "Luxury relax" definitely takes shape: your eyes enjoy colours, details and decorations mixed with an elegant and creative approach, your hands enjoy beautiful fabrics everywhere, your mouth savours delicious food prepared every day with love and passion; your mind is totally dipped into a relaxing experience where everything is for your happyness. And what about Liz and Ian? With their kindness and delicacy, they make your stay absolutely unforgettable.
Only  a suggestion: ask Liz to tell you some stories. She is unbelievable: you cannot keep from laughing :)))

Leaving cowboy country and traveling to southern Italy, one does not expect to find regal luxury as we did when we entered the Palazzo Muro Leccese. The interior of the Palazzo is exquisitely decorated and takes this Texan's breath away. The second floor great room (itself a show-place of awesome splendor) gives on to the various suites, in which each is appointed with its own charm. A comfortable reading room facing a laced balcony is awash in sunlight. A grand patio with tell-tale signs of antiquity is outfitted for relaxation at day's end. Every morning, a lovely breakfast with coffee or marvelous tea is to one's own choosing. Fortunate to have been guests on two separate occasions, we found the atmosphere of the Palazzo to be most friendly and welcoming. Our hosts guided us to explore the region and to visit many local festivals as well as historical landmarks in Muro. For beach, water, and sand afficionados, the Palazzo Muro Leccese is only a stone's throw, as it were, from the seashore of the Adriatic Sea. Our hosts, Liz and Ian Valance, could not have been more gracious to make us comfortable to enjoy our stay. A great privilege, it has been, to visit, absorb, and rest and play in the Palazzo Muro Leccese. We will return to this beautiful and awsome B&B.

Room Tip: Ask for the "Presidential" or "royal" suite for two.

Beautiful hotel, the most charming place we have ever stayed. One of those places you feel both immediately at ease and utterly indulged! We were anxious at first about taking two boys (10 and 12) but our hosts were so welcoming we would return every year if we could. Breakfast was out of this world. Super comfortable beds and fabulous ultra-modern bathrooms. The house has been restored with great care and has been furnished with realy style, lovely village location.

where to start...! Just back from a few nights' stay at the Palazzo. it is a stunningly beautiful place, incredible rooms and architecture. The luxurious decor and furnishings add to the character and complement the building well. The hosts Liz and Ian went to all lengths to make sure we had everything we needed. We will be going back next year for sure, it is the most beautiful b&b i have ever stayed in.
