What a jewel! Food great, views fabulous, location wonderful.
But the real thing is the people. Nothing is too much trouble, everything is done with a smile, and you feel more at home than when you are at home.
When we got stranded because of the Iceland volcano they not only spent hours on the internet and phone finding us an elusive ferry booking but DROVE US AND OUR GROUP OVER 1000KMS TO ST.MALO IN THEIR VAN - 13 HOURS EACH WAY, WITH NOTHING BUT SMILES ALL THE WAY. They are truly wonderful people and a privilege to know.

Wonderful place and wonderful people. Jim and Pilar cannot do enough to make you comfortable - they are just brilliant. I found the food excellent and generous - daily menu changes and completely local food. I remember it with great fondness and always remember what a great find it was. I arrived by chance to stay one night and ended up staying for a week.

great, honest, helpful little hotel in the buxom of the peaks of europe. perfect spot to explore the picos from. hotel very helpful with organising activities be it their own or independent ones. I have absolutely no reservations in recommending this place nor do I have any in recommending the picos themselves. underated part of the world which is beautiful and fun.

The Torrecerredo offers a homely, Spanish ambience which embraces all the familiar features of Spain without compromise for comfort or taste. Whilst the staff are professional and happy to accommodate the needs of visitors, the tone of the Torrecerredo is informal and staying there is to experience being in the heart of a generous, extended family.
We had most of our meals at the hotel and enjoyed a selection of local, mouthwatering dishes where many of the vegetables were home grown; individual dietary requirements were catered for. The washing and drying facilities on site were useful. Mountain bikes were readily available to those who wanted to go on excursions and the proprietors' sound local knowledge of the area meant that good advice on places of interest was always forthcoming.
The area has a great deal to offer in terms of walking/climbing and the hotel offers organised activities such as rock-climbing, canyoning and caving amongst others. The walks we embarked on were exhilirating and could be adapted to suit all levels of walkers. The feedback from the other guests was that the activities [listed above] were equally exhilirating and felt secure and safe for first-timers. We also enjoyed a day trip to the seaside town of Llanes - 45 minute drive away [organised by the hotel].
