For us from Czech, Croatia has always been the main holiday destination. As time passed by, many of us became annoyed by crowded public beaches, very low standards of hotels, services and overall with weird attitude of local people. Now my enthusiasm is thanks to Kempinski completely restored.
Location is great, aside of rush and heavy traffic, with its own beach with perfect staff and with big heated pools the same as with some smaller ones for children.
Breakfast is huge and delicious, eating outside with amazing sea view is a must.
Dinner also perfect, the daily catch is a must.
Rooms: Our Junior Suite was nice, teracce with its 35m2 is outstanding. Best choice to stay with children (except Jure and Henry suites with its price) ...
Parking in the hotel garage is for 18€/day and outside (on the sun and rain) 12€/day so every petrolhead knows what to do :)
What i must mention, as an advice for those comming by car, is to strictly avoid comming in on saturday morning (or any public holiday morning) and leaving on sunday evening. The traffic is incredible and you must count few hours more to be stuck in endless snake.
Overall, we want definitely return to KHA and we want do it often! ;)

Dear Mr Jiri,

First of all I would like to thank you for your kind visit and for taking the time to post such a positive and thorough review on TripAdvisor. For the entire Kempinski Hotel Adriatic team this is definitely the best possible motivation. As you mentioned, Croatia is indeed traditionally quite popular with the Czech tourists, what I also had the opportunity to experience in first person while living in Prague. I am glad to read that our hotel managed to restore your previously shaken enthusiasm towards Croatia as a top summer destination.

I am sure your detailed review will be helpful for many other TripAdvisor users. Once again, I am very happy that you had an amazing experience with us and will share your positive feedback with my staff. I am looking forward to your next visit.

Best regards from Alberi,

4 or 5 Fantastic pools and spa to use included in the rate, spa never seemed busy, very relaxing, and posts of space, treatments are additional we never had any so can't comment. Rooms are stunning, it sets the standard high for other 5 star hotels. Breakfast is an event in itself, extensive choice available. You really need a car to get here from pula, Trieste or Ljubljana but the roads are fairly good. Tip - call restaurant to order a half bucket of ice to your room which is free, enjoy cold drinks for the rest of your night, we did this on 4 out of 7 night as we had a sleeping toddler so had to stay in. (Tip the waiter to your room a couple of times).

First time in Croatia , at the border a bad experience : waiting to entry for more than 30 min. in full sun at 35 C from EU. to EU.( ok not Schengen ) !??.
Hotel its self is located in a "ghost city" : huge villas for sale, totally empty .
Room was ok with a nice view over the villas and the Adria see as back, nice
Service is the weak point in the house ( interior nice designed and good chilled in the heat of Istria) and I had the feeling people are looking sad ( unhappy ?) and I don"t know how motivation is teached in the house...No smile or very rare ( Rok/rest. Marko/recep, Mirella/ room service).
Hotel was full and a lot of small kids find the right to make their presence strong
( breakfast, pool, jacuzzi, balcony, and of course Beach !!).
Not the segment for a Kempinsky hotel ??!!
Seems to be liked by the new rich of East or the less rich from West..
OK for families , probably suitable for the extra season.
Beach service very poor ( beds and umbrellas have to be fixed by yourself ) , bar looking improvised in the wood small house but good service ( nice US lady from Boeing city) . Need of swimming shoes due to the gravel beach , see is perfect .
No dinner experience in house, some Tavernas around ( Taverna Alberi for ex. in a walking distance from house, Taverna Porto Salvore, Pergola ( bad grilled fish presentation) and the hotel owned restaurant Kanova.
One in all a good hotel , with a (have to be better) service and a isolated location.
I wounder how profitable the hole investment it could be !?
Desolated villas landscape and no , the hotel is not on the beach , You have to walk to the beach and can admire the nice garden of the empty houses where the maintenance is done only by 13-14 hours in the afternoon , when you admire the nice see canvas on your peacefully balcony and want to relax...
Room cleaning is offered twice by day but we missed every time something...
Probably September can by a opportunity but Italy is not far away at all.
Good luck to the professional general manager, he will manage to reach his goals but one message only : Kempinsky = name is pflicht !!!

Room Tip: Deluxe rooms in the left wing (205,207,209 )

We spent 5 days in this hotel. The hotel is located in a very small village and there is not much to see in the immediate vicinity, but Istria is rather small so nearly all town are within an hour driving distance. Our room was spacious and had an amazing view. The bed was very comfortable which, coupled with the quietness, guaranteed a good night sleep. The cleanliness of our room was impeccable; compliments to the housekeeping department! The breakfast was very good, but it would have been even better if more local food was offered, as in some other Kempinski hotels in Europe. We had dinner in the bar one evening and the food was very good and surprisingly not very expensive. Live music in the lobby each evening was an interesting choice if one did not have other plans. Wellness and spa with indoor and outdoor pools is huge and very clean.

Room Tip: rooms placed closer to the central elevator have the best view

We could not have asked for a better first stop on our recent trip to Croatia! The concierge was wonderful to arrange transfer from Venice to Kempinski and Mauricio was a great introduction to the warm and welcoming staff. The hotel was beautiful with every amenity available. The rooms were spacious and tastefully appointed. We loved lounging at the pool and swimming in the crystal clear sea. Dinner was incredible! It is absolutely worth it to experience the chef's tasting menu. The breakfast each morning was an excellent way to start the day. The staff treated us like we were family; always going out of their way to make sure every need was met! I cannot say enough great things about our 2 days stay here. We hope to return soon to Kempinski Adriatic!

We spent 5 days at this hotel in May. The hotel is absolutely perfect, I wouldn't change anything about it. The area itself is quiet, so if you are looking for a relaxing holiday this is ideal. It is good to have a car as there are so many places to visit nearby. The room we had was excellent. Bathroom fantastic with all products provided for and a superb shower. The bed was so comfortable and the room so quiet. We had a stunning sea view that overlooked the swimming pools. The breakfast is exquisite, you can sit outside in complete comfort. The weather in May was about 20 degrees and no mosquito's - so it was very pleasant sitting outside at any time of the day. The food selection including preseco, chilled water at your table and full hot and cold buffet was without fault and started the day beautifully. The outdoor pool was heated to 28 degrees and there was another colder 20 degree outdoor pool. Two outdoor jacuzzi's looked out towards the sea. Lovely indoor pool also heated to 28 degrees. The spa area has a fantastic range of plunge pools, sauna's, showers etc - which you can easily spend an hour in each day and is great for relaxing. Some guests don't wear swimwear in this area! It is lovely to return from dinner and have a drink sitting outside. We went to Porotroz and Piran for dinner (about 15mins drive, don't forget your passport). We had lunch one day in Trieste. We went to Ljubliana one evening and wished we had allowed more time as it is such an incredible city. We flew into PUla and stopped in Rovinj for lunch on the drive up to the hotel. Every morning we went to the beach for a swim, lovely and refreshing. Would be cold water for most but warm if you are Irish! The beach area is perfectly set up (2 mins walk from hotel) and has excellent bathroom facilities and beach bar. Lovely loungers and umbrella's with the sound of the water lapping on the beach beside you. All beaches in this area are stone / shingle so beach shoes are needed. Ljubliana is definitely worth the visit, make sure you buy a vignette in a patrol station before you use the motorway in Slovenia and again make sure you bring a passport. Valet car parking in the hotel is €14 a day and well worth it. The greatest asset to this hotel are it's staff. They are exceptionally attentive without being overbearing. We had great service from everyone and would definitely stay in this hotel again. I was so delighted we booked this hotel. Looking at other hotels as we traveled around, the Kempinski was by far a superior hotel without rival. We had considered staying in the Kempkinski in Portoroz but are glad we did not this hotel is a much better choice.

Room Tip: A sea view makes all the difference in this hotel. All rooms are to an excellent standard and fully...
