This was a 'find' when we were looking for accommodation in the area. It is a chateau which the current owners have retuned to habilitation after it was in some respects ruined during the war. The rooms are well laid out, the breakfast is worth having just for the dining room alone.
I would recommend this to anyone, it was a very good stay.

Room Tip: Any room, we had the one with the roof terrace, our friends had a bigger room on the other side. I w...

Very impressive building in nice grounds. We stayed in a superior room which was very comfortable with a large, modern bathroom. Breakfast is a bit bland with just a croissant, cold meat and some cheese, also rather pricey at 10 euros a time. The hosts are friendly and helpful . There is some road noise if you have windows open but it's not overly intrusive. Plenty of restaurants are within walking distance but most of the menus are in French only so it can be difficult to order what you want. The town becomes deserted after about 9 o'clock when most bars close, so if you want an evening tipple make sure you go out early. If you are looking for a long weekend break then this fits the bill perfectly.

Room Tip: Go for a superior room.

We spent a night at the Chateau in early April. The house is stunningly beautfiul. Our room was upstairs to the left, overlooking the front garden/driveway of the house. The room was enormous with high ceilings and all the amenities. Very tasteful and elegant. Lovely modern bathroom.

Our hostess is charming! The breakfast available the next morning was excellent with all the standards of a European breakfast. We met a French couple at breakfast who were so nice and we sat and chatted for an hour over breakfast.

This is a very different one of a kind experience....we loved it!

Do get good instructions on check-in time and how to get into the grounds of the chateau.

Room Tip: Upper floor!

Enjoyable stay in nice period style accommodation. Nice friendly hosts who keen to share the history of the chateau. Breakfast has a good selection of meats cheeses and pastries as well as reasonable selection of warm drinks. We had a good stay here and the owners were happy to recommend local dining establishments. The only caveat I would give is a notice for motorcycle guests is that the drive way which is about 40 metres is shingle but do not let that put you off

We got lost on the way there (first trip to France) and while the adventure afforded some lovely discoveries, we were exhausted by the time we arrived, soaked to the gills due to unrelenting rain all day. Our hosts were waiting for us, ready to help us get comfortable. They have done a fabulous job of restoring this chateau. Our room was very comfortable, with a perfect chateau feel in the decor, but a modern bathroom. The photos do not do the rooms justice. I had expected something a bit dated and dusty. Not at all!!! It's magnifique!

We had hurried to get there without supper and were hungry but with no desire to go out. We had purchased some items for a picnic and asked if we might borrow a knife. Not only did we get that, but our hosts set a lovely table for us in the dining room and added complimentary items for our picnic. We felt like rescued royalty!

The next morning, we got a lovely continental breakfast with choices of cereal, fruit, cheese, jams, pastries and bread, coffee and juices. We were immensely entertained by our waitress who provided much information about the history of the chateau, showed us photos and answered all our questions. This greatly added to our experience in Courseulles-sur-Mer. We came for the beaches and just thought we would try this place. Honestly, we wish we would have stayed here the entire time we were in Courseulles-sur-Mer. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: The rooms have been renovated and these were probably the most comfortable beds we slept in on this...

Fantastic location. The chateau was beautiful. Very convenient for restaurants and visiting locations such as Bayeaux and pegasus bridge . Great value would stay there again

Just needed a few extra touches to reach perfection such as little bottles of bath oil and water in fridge
