This hotel is a calm oasis and a delightful experience. The ambience is wonderful and the breakfasts we ate outside on the terrace were wonderful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for peace and quiet.

I rented the loft at l´hermitage and it was a perfect stay. we had a lot of privacy but still all the structure of the hotel when we needed. the pool was almost in front of the loft. The property is a trip to the nobless of the past. Christine and Veronique were like old friends and would help us anytime. We feel renewed after our wonderful stay.

Room Tip: the loft is a independent house. we had a little problem with hot water in the shower but it was fix...

This location was the start and end of a walking holiday and provided a quiet retreat to rest in. It is out of town (45 minutes walk or a taxi ride) and does not have a restaurant. The breakfasts can be taken outdoors in the sun and are a comprehensive French bread and confiture assortment with cold meats and cheeses and fruits. The grounds are quite extensive with an outdoor pool to enjoy and to match the pretty building which is a French countryside gentry house.
Good selection of toiletries in the rooms which have A/c and WiFi. Staff are very helpful and seem used to dealing with Brits.
If you go out, remember to take the gate code with you as the grounds are very secure!

We too have been bicycle touring with Headwater, and this hotel has been our first and final night's stay. Wonderful weather always lightens the mood, but in a traditional French way this hotel is more than satisfactory on all counts, it is a 3 Star but fulfills all ones needs. A/c in the rooms, free Wi-Fi, a truly French Chateau feel, a fulsome breakfast on the patio, a small bar, sizeable swimming pool, gorgeous grounds, and close but not too close to the nearby village of Pernes. True it does not boast a restaurant, but a short ride by taxi or car or bike, will take you to an excellent facility in the village. Most recommended.

I stayed for two nights in this delightful country house that used to be the family home of the Dreyfus family. The house itself is lovely and well maintained, clean and comfortable, but what really makes it a great stay are the fabulous grounds and delicious breakfast. The gardens are delighful and there is a salt swimming pool, decent size and lots of sun beds. The breakfast includes lots of fresh bread, jams and fresh orange juice (squeezed not carton) and whole spreak of fruit and yoghurts. This was the only highlight of a really disappointing holiday with Headwater, a walking company, and the other hotels were pretty dire.

L'Hermitage is a hotel without restaurant - you have to go to the center of Pernes-les-Fontaines where you can find some good ones, but that's all right because it helps to maintain the quiet and relaxing atmosphere of the hotel and his nice garden. In good wheather conditions, a complete and fresh breakfast is served on the terrace - the reception is friendly and helpful.
We were on bike - a good tip would be that they take care of having some tools and tire repair facilities available.

We stayed the second time at this charming place for 4 nights and enjoyed the hotel very much. Fantastic very larg parc, nice pool, exzellent breakfast oitside under the nice trees. The rooms are nice and very clean. We will return definitively. The price for a tripple room was below 100 EUR. Many Things to do around.
