We (a couple) stayed at B&B il Cortile Malpensa last Thursday.
It is located 10-15 minutes drive from the airport.
The room is big, and has an adjacent shower/toilets room, plus an extra room for children,
when necessary.
We loved the place. The warm welcome of the owners, the excellent breakfast, the convenience of the place - are remarkable.

We stayed one night before an early flight out of MXP. Laura was extremely helpful and friendly. Our only problem was finding her house on the one- way street the GPS didn't recognize. The room was comfortable, clean, and fit our needs perfectly. An added bonus is that the restaurant Il Terrazzo is an easy walking distance.

Since my husband and I had to be at Malpensa Airport for an early start, we decided to spend our last night near the airport rather than in Milan. We prefer the intimacy of b&b accommodation rather than airport hotels, so looked in the Malpensa area and came up with Il Cortile.

We returned our hired car to the airport the day before our departure and for a small fee, our host, Laura, picked us up from the airport and her very nice, polite son took us back the next day so we could enjoy a leisurely breakfast without being pressurized. It was a very pleasant and relaxing end to our holiday.

The building is an old farm house built around a central very private, pretty courtyard. The accommodation is simple, very clean and spacious with air-conditioning so we were very comfortable.

Laura was very attentive and made us feel at home. We were served coffee and biscuits on our arrival, and breakfast, consisting of fruit, yoghurt, cheeses, salad, whole-wheat bread, pastries and coffee was served with a smile.

Laura suggested that we eat our evening meal at the local newly refurbished hotel/restaurant Osteria Della Pista, just around the corner in the village, where we enjoyed our food thoroughly (great pasta, steaks, excellent tiramisu) and had a most enjoyable evening chatting to fellow travelers.

We warmly recommend Il Cortile - thanks for a very pleasant stay.

Il Cortile is a lovely B&B conveniently located in a small village, Casorate Sempione, a short drive (approx 7-10 mins) from Malpensa Airport. My husband and I and our two boys stayed at Il Cortile overnight early in July. From the moment we arrived at the B&B Laura and her family could not do enough for us. Laura and her son Andrea provided us with information regarding restaurants, places to visit, and also booked us into a nice restaurant (ristorante Sempione) that night. Andrea was kind enough to escort us down to the restaurant also pointing out where the local train station was (Casorate station is about a 10 minute walk from B&B). The next morning Laura cooked up a very generous breakfast for us which included scrambled eggs, sausages, croissants, fresh bread, a homemade cake, juices, coffee and yoghurts for four people. On her recommendation we caught the local train from Casorate station to Arona, a gorgeous town on lake Maggiore. The journey took approx 30 minutes each way and is highly recommended. In Arona we ate a beautiful gourmet lunch at Aldo pizzeria con cucina with lake views. Laura allowed us to have a very late checkout as we were flying out that night at 10pm and her next guests weren’t arriving until late that night. This allowed us to spend a good amount of time at the lake and head back to refresh before flying out. Her husband kindly drove us to the airport. I can’t thank Laura and her lovely family enough. Their generosity and helpfulness was just what we needed at the end of a wonderful three week holiday in Italy. We would love to come back again to Il Cortile and explore more of Lake Maggiore.

This was absolutely the best b&b I have been to! The owner Laura was incredibly helpful as she picked us up at the airport, which makes this accommodation a perfect choice if you arrive or depart late/early in the day. But surely, I would also recommend this housing if you wanted to explore a real Italian village, or try the local and family owned restaurant just a cross the street with delicious food.

The room we stayed in, or rather a small flat with approximately 3 small rooms were nicely furnished with a genuine Italian style and it had a spacious and fresh bathroom. The room also included a TV with a few channels, air-conditioner, hairdryer and other necessary things you often need. And you immediately felt like home!

When it came to breakfast, had we the luxury to make own wishes, and everything from croissants to fresh fruits were to be offered. And if you are found of sugary pastries and cakes, here you can have them all.

I reckon this is truly the best b&b in every way and I intend to return to il Cortile next time I go to Milano, for sure!

Five stars out of five! No doubts!
