Recently returned from 8 days at Cap Juluca in a Junior Suite. The major plus of this resort is that every room is right on the beach and a stunningly beautiful beach it is--probably a mile plus in length and never more than 50 or so people on it. On the beach you are well attended to---with umbrella, comfy chairs, towels and an ice cooler with water. Attendants come by every once in a while to see if you need anything. There are two main restaurants, Pimms and Blue. Pimms is dinner only and closed several days a week. Though a pretty restaurant with good food (for the Caribbean) and a decent (but not exceptional) fairly priced wine list, we felt that our dinners were unnecessarily rushed. We had a better experience at Blue where breakfast and lunch is served. Several days we opted for lunch as our main meal of the day. Room service was prompt and provided decent food. If you're a tennis player, bring your rackets as the facility is excellent as is the pro, Shawn Romney. Junior suite was large, bright and clean--no complaints. All of the staff at Cap Juluca were friendly, efficient and aimed to please. If you're intending to pay roughly $1500/night with breakfast only included, this is an excellent choice.

Room Tip: As far away from main buildings as possible which means rooms numbered 11 and above

Just got back from a stay at Cap Juluca. can't wait to go again -- that should tell you how much my wife and I loved it. It was instant relaxation for us. We had a simple room on the second floor with a gorgeous view and great balcony. While many people comment that the rooms are older in style -- ours was very comfortable and clean. The staff are wonderful and we were treated well even though we were first time guests. I can't tell you how we spent our time because once we took our place in the beach chairs, we hardly moved. The food at Pimms was terrific and the breakfasts at Blu were yummy. Also had a massage which I highly recommend -- one of the best I have had.

Room Tip: Second floor rooms have better views.

We think Cap Juluca is one of the most beautiful places in the world! The turquoise water, the soft white sand and the classical caribbean views from the room set the foundation for a very peaceful and relaxing holiday. The service is fabulous and we loved the water sports they have for guests -they were very quick to come and rescue me when I capsized the Hobie! Food was excellent in all the restaurants and the beach bar service (operating even if you were the only person on the beach) was outstanding. Anguilla is a beautiful island with gorgeous beaches and great restaurants, and Cap Juluca epitomises the best of the island.

Room Tip: First floor rooms generally have better views, but ground floor have more direct beach access.

This is my 3rd visit and I can't say enough about the kindness and attentiveness of the Cap Juluca staff. The beach is hynotic and I never want to leave my chaise lounge... Unlike other hotels, this feels like a private club where the staff remember my name. Still love my sorbet on the beach... Thank you for everything!

Room Tip: go for the luxury room upstairs...view of St.Maarten....180 degree views

We stayed at Cap Juluca for our 25th anniversary and overall it was a great experience. We have traveled all over the Caribbean (75+ trips) and this resort is one of the best and at the top of our favorites list. The room was great but we did have an issue with our A/C that stopped working. Managers Lockhart and Carol Webster worked with us to quickly move us into a new upgraded room. Both managers were exceptional as were all the resort staff including reception, dining, maintenance, beach staff, etc. I can't say enough about how friendly and helpful everyone was, very impressed. Dining was also excellent. The included breakfast was very nice. They will bring you a continental breakfast to your room but the short walk to Blue every morning is better as you also get an egg station and some other items included. Lunches at Blue were excellent, as was dinner at Pimms (fantastic setting next to the water). We always rent a car to be able to come and go as we like and it was great that you could park very close to your room. Overall great stay and highly recommended!

Stayed here November 2013. Beautiful grounds and situation right on the beach. We were greeted warmly and quickly checked in and transported by cart to our Villa 6. The rooms have a perfect situation and overlook the beach (on the beach would actually be a better description) with opening concertina doors on to a large undercover and then open air balcony. The setting is quite frankly idyllic with views across to St Maarten and the beach is absolutely fabulous, as nice as any I have seen.

The room is comfortable and the decor more than acceptable. Everything is white washed with a huge comfortable bed. They haven't been upgraded for a couple of years I would suggest but that is part of the charm and the resort. If you want modern and chic this is not the place for you.

Service on the beach was excellent. We didn't use the water sport facilities so cannot comment but the staff were also very helpful and friendly. Food was of a good quality.

The hotel is very expensive and this would be my only gripe. We hugely enjoyed our stay and the hotel and and its service but I did come away feeling that it was overpriced.

Room Tip: Villas 5/6/7 are central to the beach and next to the beach bar area from where refreshments are ser...

We stayed here for five nights on the first leg of our honeymoon, and from arrival through checkout, it was an unforgettable experience.

When we arrived, we were welcomed by a greeter and presented rum punches as they walked us through the resort's amenities. After a quick golf cart ride to our room, we were welcomed with a bottle of champagne. The rest of our time there was spent on one of the world's prettiest beaches.

Pros:
-AMAZING crescent beach. The best I have ever seen.
-Clear blue water with a view of St. Martin and Saba Island
-Incredibly gracious staff

Cons:
-Pricey
-Lacking "casual" dining options. Sometimes you just want a burger or chicken wings at a beach-side bar

Overall, this place is amazing. If you love classic luxury and impeccible service, go here. If you prefer more amenities and modern luxury, go to the Viceroy. Note: almost all guests are honeymooners or older couples. The resort is "quiet" as such. I would not recommend this resort if you have children or are looking for a loud, wild time.

We cannot wait to come back!!!
