We stopped by the Sunset Lounge to catch the sunset and have a cocktail before heading to dinner elsewhere. We were not guests of the resort, but I wanted to check out the decor at the Viceroy. It is very chic and the views are great. When we arrived, the crowd was a mix of people walking in from the beach or pool in their swim gear and people in nice resort wear. The drink menu was creative and we were given a complementary tray of edamame and tortilla chips with a fresh salsa. The salsa almost tasted smokey, as if the tomatoes had been grilled. Very tasty and a nice touch. Drinks were good, but $15 each. I had a Ginger Collins and my hubbie had a Manhattan made with rum, which they had a clever name for. Both were delicious.
