Description: The Chateau Mygo restaurant is a 3rd generation west indian restaurant. We are opened for breakfast lunch and dinner. Inside we have two bars inside the restaurant one which services those dining in the restaurant and the Hurricane Hole bar which caters to one who is just in need of a drink. We serve an array of different dishes and add our local touch to it. Chateau Mygo is a sea side restaurant which has a great view of Marigot Bay and all the yachts coming or leaving the bay. Every week we offer a number of different events to satisfy our customers which include Reggae and band night two days a week ( or more depending on the time of year.), happy hour everyday at 5-6 pm and much more. Our friendly staff create a vibrant caribbean atmosphere and are always at your service.

“Hearty food”
Reviewed 24 March 2013

We very much enjoyed our meal at Chateau Mygo - particularly the giant shrimps in garlic butter. The service is pretty good and the portions were generous. There are also some nice views out over the bay.

“Great service, friendly and reasonably priced food... A very pleasant surprise”
Reviewed 15 March 2013 via mobile

Walking down a windy brush filled lane you enter upon a relaxed wide open setting next to Marigot Bay. The decor is nothing special but the service is extra, extra ordinary... in fact rarely seen in the Caribbean. Three very personable people kept an eye on our table despite a near full restaurant. A nice assortment of meals which were well presented and tasty. A very relaxed dining experience. Tip: you can walk in but advise to reserve ahead if you wish a table by the water or away from the live music. Note- smoking is permitted. Smart casual dress code was the norm however some very seasoned salt water sailors did not seem out of place.

“i thought it was best in marigot bay”
Reviewed 10 March 2013

Stayed in Marigot Bay for a week. Tried all of the local restaurants, and this is the only one we wanted to return to …And we did, almost daily, in fact. The atmosphere is relaxed. The Caribbean food (or sometimes Caribbean-inspired fusion food) was superb—fresh ingredients, home-cooking. Had wonderful stuffed crab, pumpkin soup, calamari. The catch of the day was always very good as well. Excellent cocktails.

A couple of the previous commenters have expressed disappointment in the food and service. We had no issues with either...maybe they’ve changed things up? At any rate, given the high prices and mediocre foods at surrounding establishments, this was definitely the best value for my money in the bay.

“Food was average”
Reviewed 8 March 2013

We found the food to be okay. The ribs were not tender and a little tough, but the shrimp scampi was good. The service was not so great. We waited for over 30 minutes after dining for the check. Our waitress seemed to have disappeared, and we noticed two other tables waiting for their checks as well. This was right during the dinner hour. The hostess also seemed less friendly in her demeanor. We ended up having to get up and ask for our check, so we could leave.

“Basic food, friendly service, overpriced”
Reviewed 6 March 2013

I agree totally with the last 2 reviews. We had this place recommended and the reviews seemed fine. Whilst the staff were friendly, and service swift- so that was all very good- the food itself was totally underwhelming. Basic menu. Chicken and meat curry both rather bland and bony...and so expensive for what they were. Although on the water it is not a great evening atmosphere. more of a bar than a restaurant. Wish we had gone somewhere else as it out us off eating outside our hotel (we were at Ti Kaye and had good food every night for the same price!!)
