“Gourmet Lunch is NOT served on the boat!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 February 2014

Had an almost perfect day with Londi and Nixon, however, the Gourmet Lunch advertised as included was not served on the boat, but at Chateau Mygo dockside restaurant in Marigot Bay.
It was a choice of two items, and although the food was very good, it was served at a typical Caribbean pace while we viewed our $100 per hour Flagship Catamaran moored 50 yards away.

All in all, it was a lovely experience sailing along the west coast of one of the most scenic islands in the Caribbean.

“Be sure to make alternate plans - they were a "no show" -”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 February 2014

We were scheduled for a catamaran daysail for 8 people on February 6 - I just now read the most recent reviews, and exact same thing happened to us!!! I spoke directly with Frank on February 2 or 3 and everything was all set. But on February 6 we waited for over an hour and the catamaran was a "no show". When we got home we found they had sent us an email the day before the reservation, saying they were having mechanical issues with the catamaran and had to cancel. I tried calling both numbers on their web several times on Feb. 6 when they didn't show up, and continuously got only voicemail. Funny thing, we had a view of the ferry dock (where we were supposed to catch the catamaran) from our ship stateroom, and I saw one of their catamarans going to the ferry with a load of people later on in the afternoon that day. What a scheme - definitely make alternate plans for your day if you make a reservation!!!!! I am just disgusted that someone can get away with this and ruin people's vacations. They said we will receive a full refund. We haven't yet, but I will definitely be checking on that.

“day sail with Nixon, Londi, and Mr. Jimmy Buffett”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 November 2013

We have chartered with Bateau Mygo four or five times now. It is always a highlight of our trips to St Lucia. We always sail with Nixon and Londi, who remember us and never forget to bring our favorite music along on an iPod. Frank, the owner, is always efficient in scheduling our charters and prompt in his e-mail responses. The lunch at Marigot Bay is always great as well. On a scale of 1-5, we rate this a 6++ !

“2nd time just as good as the first.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 September 2013

This is the second time we did a sail boat charter with Bateau Mygo. The first time was back in 2011. That time we were on a slightly larger sail boat. Of course there was six of us on the vessel last time and only four of us this time. Both times Kevin was the captain. Unfortunately (since we kept calling the mate by the wrong name) I can't remember the mates real name!! Either way, names are not as important as the time that is had. Both Kevin and the mystery mate were equally fun, knowledgeable, and tolerant of our wackiness!! The first time we actually snorkeled three times. We hit one spot shortly after leaving the area we depart from in Soufriere. Then another spot up near Ti Kaye. Then we hit the same initial spot on our way back. This time (September 1st), we just went snorkeling once and just drank and relaxed the rest of the time. The lunch in Marigot Bay was good food and a nice break in the day. Bottom Line: Great people, a fun day, and a good value for your $$$. We'll be back!!

“Great sail! Great food! Great people!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 September 2013

We did the sailboat with Bateau Mygo on Tuesday, Sept. 17, and it could not have been a better day! Our captain, Kevin, and mate, Mark, were fantastic! Fun, accommodating, and ready! They took us to a couple of snorkel spots, pointed out interesting places along the coast, and they were always ready with drinks and snacks.

After sunset we docked at the Bateau Mygo restaurant, where we were greeted by Frank, the owner. We were seated bayside, and served delicious drinks and the best lobster any of us had ever eaten! Delicious! A great day!
