This restaurant lives up to the high praise it received in recent reviews. Some utterly unique combinations, portions not too big, presentation is stunning. We had the foie gras with apple to start, my partner had guinea fowl and I had cod which is often boring but this was served on a bed of mushrooms and was cooked to perfection. Deconstructed Tarte au citron was a masterpiece. Service was unobtrusive, there immediately when you wanted it,but otherwise we were left in peace to enjoy our meal. The timing between each dish was just right. Anyone who enjoys good quality food with an unusual twist should head here pronto.

It’s always good to return somewhere and find your positive impressions confirmed. So coming back to Le 5 after a year could have been an anti-climax but wasn’t; despite being the only customers for lunch on market day (hard to understand) we left very satisfied. Their formula works well, offering a single menu with variations - so three courses for 30 euros, the possibility of two at lunchtime for 22 euros, and a couple of specials for a 5 euro supplement. The food was again imaginative, clever, quite beautifully presented, and worthy of greater recognition from Michelin. Hard to pick out particular plates, because the tartellete of sardines was gorgeous and both the cod and the fillet of sole main courses quite outstanding. Very pretty desserts from a chef who likes moulds!

Sadly, the wine list lacks a bit of variety but on the other hand it is kept cheap (nothing much above 25 euros) and the wines are good examples of their varieties. An excellent Oc Viognier tasted very fine and was worth more than we paid. This place really is worth the visit if you’re in this area - you won’t eat as well for so little very often.

I went to this restaurant this evening with three friends. Although we hadn't booked, we were ok for a table and went for the set menu - three courses for €30. The style is more nouvelle cuisine with a a choice of around five options on each course. The starters and mains had several fish dishes.

The food was beautifully presented and each of us thoroughly enjoyed each course.

The place was not over crowded with just four others in the restaurant, but I got the feeling they preferred people to book a table beforehand.

The front entrance is just accessible for wheelchairs, but the toilet is not.

This place is well worth a visit.

Can't praise the food highly enough. Beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. Every course was a delight.
Outstanding value for money.
Not the most atmospheric of restaurants and service is low key friendly rather than super professional which makes for a more relaxed experience.
Go now!

Wow.... so very very good. The John Dory was supreme. Very modest but attention to detail was spot on ... get here before they get their Michelin star!
