Great staff, great food, great kids club and care. Can't fault this place at all. Wonderful. Time to socialise due to the evening kids club and earlier dinner for them. The skiing in the area is varied but more suited to the intermediate than advance...although enough for anyone for one week.

The Grande Claviere was ideal for our group requirements. There were 19 of us in the party - 9 adults and 10 children. The children loved Whizz kids and couldn't wait to get signed in in the morning. The fantastic and flexible childcare made this holiday for us. On top of this, the food was good and the free bar until 10.30pm was a bonus. All in all, the holiday was very good value. The Crystal staff were all very friendly and accommodating. When I picked up two of the 8 year old girls from school a week after we arrived home I asked what missed most about the holiday and they said the skiing and Anna (one of the waitresses). All the staff did an amazing job but Anna was extra special for the children!

the skidoo trip to the mountain restaurant on chef night off was a real experience for us and the children...a very special night.

Crystal.....please renew your lease and carry on at Grande Clavier.

Three freinds and I stayed at the Grande Claviere from 3/02/12 to 10/02/12. We found all of the staff very helpful and they worked very hard to make are holiday a great one. The one member of staff I would like to highlight is Anna Pickthall. She was our principle waitress and was always cheerful, helpfull and enjoyed talking to us despite a large differance in age and even on the day after she had been out celebrating her birthday. I was surprised to see many of them up at 5-30 am on the day we left to be on cleaning duty, knowing that they would still be working into the evening with the new arrivals.
We had terrific days skiing with great snow and good weather, superb red runs. and you can almost ski back to the hotel if you negotiate a narrow bridge with care.
We are all very sad to hear of the young girl who was killed by falling from a lift, we found all of the lifts to be safe, there must have been some human error.

If you are looking for a ski holiday that ticks all the boxes for a family, this is it. The hotel is totally run by Crystal and all the staff were excellent. We even got a text from our rep called Ray before we wven left the country, so we could contact him with any questions. I have never been anywhere where there is so many staff to help you 24hrs a day. This was the first ski holiday that Ir have been on that is fully inclusive. Drinks were free from 4:30 till 10:30 at night, as well as afternoon tea from 4:30 till 5:30. Meals were good, althought I would have preferred more Italian food. For those with kids babies- 11years old, there is a fantastic kids club. The staff take the kids to their ski lessons and look after them at night, if required. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, and they were genuinely interested in your day. The resort itself is great for all levels of skiiers, and there is the option of skiing over to Sestriere or Mongeneve in France.

Brilliant hotel. Not so keen on the food but childcare was outstanding and skiing was incredible. Would definitely stay here again and enjoy the all inclusive even more. Highly recommend Le Gran Bouc for a nice meal out (steak, chocolate fondant, pizza, spaghetti) and another great place we went was Mi Chi (pizza, burgers, so yum). If you get the chance to do the mountain meal with skidoos and Raclette, do it! Very helpful and available staff. Love it. :-)

Just returned from a skiing trip to claviere. This hotel is only a 3 star so we didn't have great expectations, rooms basic as you would expect anyway. Things we most enjoyed was the food, it was absolutely lovely with great choices every night, the chef did a great job. The crystal staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel was run very well. We put our ten month old baby in pepi penguin for the whole week which was great, they kept him entertained and adhered to his needs...great staff and we felt very happy leaving him with them every day. The lifts are about a ten minute walk, however if you make your way to the back of the hotel you will see a little bridge and narrow path which you can ski down, but slightly precarious when it got a bit icy. Would def recommend.

just got back from a weeks skiing in the grande claviere hotel very comfy, rooms a little warm had to sleep with window open . fantastic food , great choice on menu and presentation great ( was ment to loose weight but put it on ! ) the crystal staff were fantatic liv, ray( the reps )and molly and erin our table staff . very cheery and helpful the all inclusive was a brilliant option branded drinks and the red wine flowed only left the hotel one night to go on the trip in the skidoo up the mountain for dinner on the chef's night off which was a great laugh . ski conditions were good fresh snow nearly every day. and 2 minutes walk to the ski locker and first lift or you could ski right into hotel. there was enough skiing in claviere and montgeneve for us though the skiing in montgeneve was more varied . you could walk into montgenve in about half an hour which we did a couple of days for lunch . my only gripe was transfer back to airport we were there at 8.20 am and our flight wasnt till 12.35 so 2 hours in airport before desk"s even opened. just a pity that crysal are only leasing the hotel for one more year as i would definetly go back!
