“Slightly disappointing this time.”
Reviewed 1 July 2014

Whilst I'm sure it is the best B&B in the area I reluctantly believe it's probably been chasing the final star in its approach to added features rather than perhaps concentrating on some of the basics.

It's getting a little scruffy in places. Bigger investments like beds need sorting too. Ours gave us a poor nights sleep.

Breakfast pretty good, although the tea tasted of coffee for some reason.

The lady that owns it is lovely and couldn't do more to help to be fair and I don't wish to be too harsh. I don't think I am.

Before I start my review I was a daytripper down from Cardiff for the day I didn't stop at the hotel but visited the coffee shop the same lady im guessing that runs this hotel here. well I called in for coffee and a cake towards the end of my daytrip down here and have to say this was the best coffee shop ive been to lovely staff who even said take the papers with u if u like for a read which was very kind. also shared a laugh and a joke with them. morel of the story here this is 1 of the far better coffee shops in porthcawl and the staff here aren't miserable as sin as I had witnessed in other cafes I wish the owners here all the very best 4 the future.

A gem. Nothing too much trouble for Annette with delicious breakfast at 5.45 pre dragon bike ride. Comfortable bed for a dodgy back too. Now with added bonus of cafe just up the road...again all food and drink excellent.

A wonderful two night stay and perfectly looked after by Annette. The breakfasts were first class and set us up beautifully for the big cycle ride. Great location and comfortable beds. I would certainly recommend.

Superb place. Attention to detail on all fronts from the decor to the freshly cooked breakfasts. The bedrooms are luxurious giving a wonderfully relaxing break with a bit of special me time.
Annette has just opened a coffee shop round the corner serving an array of food and drink which you can take either inside or out in the small courtyard. Service and friendship is in abundance. Don't come to porthcawl without a stop here.

An all round quality experience - you must visit to fully appreciate the bonhomie. Nothing was to much trouble for the hosts. My room provided a comfortable place in which to stay, I stayed in the French Room which had a fantastic roll top bath.

It doesn't get better than this. Absolutely fantastic stay and the hosts are simply charming. I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to stay in porthcawl. And with a sea view balcony it's in a class of its own. We wouldn't hesitate to book again.
