A great little theatre on the Esplanade. We went to see Rich Hall (stand up comedian), and although the theatre was full (I would guess about 400 people) it retained an intimate atmosphere. Typically Victorian domed auditorium with flexible eating downstairs and fixed seating in balcony. Good views from all seats.

When visiting Porthcawl it is worth just calling in to see if there happens to be something on that catches your fancy. It is a bit random but you could find a children's afternoon performance , ballroom dancing, jazz, theatre, or even a film being projected onto a big screen. It is also on the tour list for some of the older and still popular comedians, entertainers, speakers and bands. We We are fortunate to live in Porthcawl so tend to call in on most days - for a coffee and then pick and choose the events that are of interest. This is still a community owned Victorian theatre - so just pop in - it might just make your day!

The theatre speaks of a bygone era and is worth a look. The pavilion cafe is good for cake and coffee and you can look out at the sea. There is seating outside for sunny days. Also serves meals butI prefer a morning coffee or afternoon tea at this venue.
