We stayed at this hotel at the weekend and overall it was nice apart of some noise that didn't let us sleep until around 1:00am. There was music coming from the bar. The sauna, swimming pool and gym are good.

Room Tip: One far from the bar.

We stay here quite often visiting family, and we always find it very comfortable. The hotel staff are extremely helpful and the food is good (although we usually only have breakfast (which is one of the best we have had anywhere). Bath is very close and is a wonderful city to visit!

I last reviewed this hotel in April 2012 but have visited it several times since, the last occasion being 5th and 6th April this year.I have stayed here on many occasions over the past ten years years and have always enjoyed it. Sadly the last weekend was not so good, but I'll still return as plans are underway to spruce the place up.
When I stayed 4 weeks ago I was told that the male changing room refurbishment would be complete by last weekend-this was not the case but,I understand, was due to a manufacturing problem with cubicles. I was also told that the restaurant refurb. was taking place in May but have found out that it is actually taking place in August.
My partner is vegetarian and chose the only veggie item on the main course of the menu-sadly when it arrived it was only warm and many of the vegetables were undercooked, the parsnip was almost raw! When we brought it to the waitresses attention she asked if she could take it away to warm it up in the microwave....no, it needed to be cooked properly! We asked to speak to another member of staff who responded in a very defensive manner making us feel as though we were in the wrong for bringing it to her attention. We left the restaurant early as a result of this and on the way out the looks we received from this staff member were far from friendly. My main course was great, I have never eaten Flat Iron steak before,it was lovely. The food here is usually excellent and we felt very let down by this episode and how it was handled initially. We asked to speak to the General Manager who was extremely courteous and helpful; we achieved resolution easily,he handled the situation very well.
The staff here are always friendly and smiling, notably Hannah and Katy;this episode was highly atypical.
Having said all this we will return to The Centurion when, I'm certain,I will be able to review it more favourably.

This is an attractive setting with plenty of parking. It is in fairly quiet area yet only a few miles from Bath and within easy distance of main roads, North or South. Staff are pleasant and smart and facilities are of a high standard and spotlessly clean. breakfasts were delicious and the meal we had in the bar one evening was also of a high standard. This made our weekend trip most comfortable and enjoyable.

A clean, comfortable and busy hotel. A good sized bedroom but small bathroom. Staff very helpful. A good variety of choice for breakfast and hot food well cooked. Evening meals in restaurant of a high standard but small amounts and quite expensive. We would go again and make better use of facilities such as the pool.
