Enjoyed visits to this campsite on numerous occasions, is guaranteed each time to be well maintained, good service and very clean.
We camp as a family with a large tent, other family members bringing large tents also, enjoying lots of space, privacy and large area for kids to place - very safe.
Camp site is in a great location, just a short drive to the lake, shops and pubs. Beautiful area, with railway running across the top and and a little river running along the bottom, great scenery all around.
Waiting in anticipation to arrange another camping trip to this site.

The site is in Llanuwychllyn at the other end of the lake, it isn't right next to the lake but it backs on to the lake which you can use to get to various parts of the lake and Bala town. Paths lead from the village into Southern Snowdonia. The site owners are friendly and fires are allowed in a pit which you hire. We had a riverside pitch which was lovely, you could just spend some time sitting at the pitch, this is one of places where the site is part of the holiday rather than just a place you stay.

this is a lovely site which never seems to get too full. The owners are helpful and deliver everything you need for a fire in the evening, the views are stunning and children have a shallow river to play in. The toilets and showers were always clean and there is also a freezer, washing machine and dryer. The only downside is the midges, so bring your repellant.

Stayed here for two nights, had a wonderful welcome - site owner very friendly. Nothing seemed too much trouble.Gorgeous pitch right next to river. Spotlessly clean toilets/showers, piping hot water at all times.Fabulous scenery around the area and small touristy steam train just outside site.Would definitely visit again.

Room Tip: Try and get a pitch near the river

Being a seasoned camper with my family and camping with friends while away mountain biking this campsite was not our first choice for the area. our tent was too large for the last few spaces left in the campsite near Bala which turned out to be a godsend.

Being May bank holiday weekend we only wanted to be away for Friday and saturday night and be home for our families monday. When we booked this was not an issue and space was available.
We wanted to be nearer Bala as we wanted to be able to get breakfast and and dinner within walking distance but the local village has a lovely welsh pub ten minutes away.

When we arrived at the campsite, we had been greeted warmly, Once paid for the pitch for the two nights off we went.
The site is spacey, plenty of room for children to room and explorer. a lovely steam flows along side the site and you can pitch right next to it.
The showers and toliets are very clean and tidy. It was a welcome sight to find after riding miles though the hills of Wales that the showers are like the ones you would have at home, (You can control the hot and cold) unlike many other campsites which have a hot push tape type

I used the portaloo's in our field and again for a portaloo it was clean and tidy.
You can have campfires on the site and if you do not have anything with you for one you can purchase kindling/wood from the site owners at a very small cost.
The views from the campsite are lovely, rolling hills and one that must be a mountain. noise levels at night was not an issue.

For a basic site, this is one of my favourites and would love to return with my family.
We are both glad the other sites could not accomidate us as we would have not found this lovely site

With the local pub only ten minutes walk and the miniture steam railway nextdoor which takes you to Bala, I can't see you would want for anything else.

The overall cost of the site was very cheap even for a bank holiday. We passed some other sites on our cycling routes and all seemed packed in but this one you had space all around you.

I would highly recommend this site to anyone wanting to stay in this part of Wales.
Woundful.

Room Tip: If you are on the top field, I would recommend you pitch up either near the end/middle so you are no...

Really good campsite, which was very roomy, quiet and in a very good setting.

We stayed in the height of summer and it still felt very spacious, though was far from full (which in some ways is a shame as some people are missing out!)

It's conveniently placed next to a railway into the town of Bala as well as having a decent pub in the village of Llanuwchllyn itself.

All the fields and pitches looked good and as commented by others the facilities on site were clean and modern.

All in all felt like a bit of a bargain.
