Meat & Beer; both excellent. Vegetables if you want them ie chips! Great value and well worth a 20 minute walk from the train station

“Honest local fare”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 March 2014

This place has pretty good rosti (potato-based dishes) and a veal schnitzel that'll keep you going for the whole winter, served in a simple unfussy surrounding. Half of the dining area - separated by a corridor - is set aside for smokers so if that's your thing then you can flick ash into your food while you eat. As the restaurant is attached to the brewery they also have a decent line-up of locally brewed beer. I've been here a few times and while I wouldn't go hugely out of my way to eat here, if you are in Baar and looking for something pleasant and hearty, this is the place to come.
There is a terrace outside in the summer.

“Big portions of great food ”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 October 2013 via mobile

The restaurant is a typical Swiss restaurant. It is cosy , clean and staff are very good. The general price is good especially for the portion size. I ate a bratwurst with Rosti and onion gravy. It was amazing. The rest of family all had different meals and agreed that the good was delicious. The only problem with this restaurant is that is on the side of a road so if you are outside you hear a lot of cars.

Nice restaurant, good food, very pleasant terrace, friendly staff, car park in front of it. It is open on Sunday evening which is a real bonus in the area!

“Desperate Dan portions”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 July 2013

Eaten here twice and never been able to finish my schnitzel even with all that lovely beer to way it down. Would recommend not eating for a week before you go. Service is always good and love the whole feel of the place. .
