Lovely afternoon tasting some very nice wines. What a way to start a holiday. Had only landed in Perugia a couple of hours before so good wine was just what was needed.

Wanted to visit an Umbrian winery. Very welcoming. We tried all their wines. No food available but overall a good experience.

We had a great wine tasting experience here. We had a tour from one of the staff and also met the owner and his family as they were there bottling some of the delicious wines! It's a few km from Spello, so you'll need to drive or get a taxi if you are staying in the town. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

We first went to the Sportoletti winery in 1993 when we were staying in Spello. Then it was a relatively small operation and the wines were pleasant but not outstanding. Returning recently we found the Grechetto a much better wine and very good value at €5. The Villa Fidelia red is an excellent robust wine and the Villa Fidelia white is smooth and very drinkable. The setup is now very impressive and well organised.

The winery stands very nicely amidst the vines at the bottom of the hill below Spello. We were guided through the tasting by a charming and attractive young lady who helped to make our visit a really enjoyable experience.

We shall aim to return, but next time we won't wait for 20 years.

we were greeted in the tasting area warmly. A large lunch group was just breaking us. The woman who ran the tasting room asked us if we were hungry...we'd just eaten lunch in nearby Spello, but we said "yes" to her question. We were served 2-3 of the most delicious food we'd ever eaten. The senior Mr. Sportoletti came out to say hello and one of his sisters came out of the kitchen to say hello as well. It's a family enterprise. They are rightly proud of their wine and olive oil. We've never had such a great experience. Thank you to all!
