“Great value for money”
Reviewed 31 May 2014

Only stopped for one night but would like to share the same positive comments as many other guests. What you get at this hotel is an honest and warm northern welcome. After a soul destroying journey up the M5&6 from Cardiff the Abbey Hotel offered a comfortable haven, the staff were more than helpful and the family room we booked was spacious and beyond expectation. Breakfast was prompt and plentyfull, this small modest hotel is clean and obviuosly well managed, a blueprint that other should follow. Simple rule - give people what they want and they will return!

Room Tip: Family room 302 gets a little road noise but nothing too disruptive.

This hotel is a good alternative to the plastic Premier Inn and Travel Lodge brands. Very pleasant service and great breakfast. Good nights sleep and nothing seemed too much trouble. Will visit again when in the area.

We had a lovely, spacious room which comfortably accommodated my husband, grown up daughter and myself. It was very clean and comfortable with designer decor and a large flat screen TV. I especially liked the bay window overlooking the garden. The designer feel continued through into the bathroom with a stylish (albeit somewhat impractical) shower and trendy fittings, all immaculate. Free wifi, parking and breakfast topped off the offering.

A great hotel very welcoming and comfortable at a great rate. Stay here at least once a month for business. I deal location for visit my customers and good places to eat and drink in the area. Would also be great to stay for a short break as there are plenty of walks and sites to see. The last Friday in each month the Saltaire Brewery opens its doors. This hotel is only a short stroll down the canal to the brewery.

Stayed at the Abbey Lodge overnight last weekend. Very clean comfy hotel with lovely friendly and helpful staff. Room had spa bath which was a bonus. Not a breakfast eater but staff made both me and my daughter breakfast sandwiches which they wrapped for us to have later. Great price too. Have previously stayed at the Marriott but will certainly be staying at the Abbey Lodge next time we are in the area.

Room Tip: Request room with spa bath for a bit of extra luxury!

Right from the warm welcome on arrival, we were more than happy with our choice of accommodation. It is centrally located for the Aire Valley & Bradford. Lovely breakfast, comfortable rooms (luxurious bedding) and all mod cons. Maybe should take car reg on arrival for ease of getting out of car park as cars can get blocked in. We would highly recommend this Hotel to our friends and we look forward to returning in the near future.

We booked this lovely little hotel to go to a funeral at nearby Nab Wood Cemetery. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, both over the phone and in person, the hotel is modern and spotlessly clean inside, the extras that one might expect of TV and wifi are there, the breakfast is as plentiful as you could want, and we would definitely use it again. An added bonus is the 15% discount at the curry house just down the road if you show your room key card. Go there - I very much doubt you will be disappointed.
