After a lovely pub lunch at the near by Old Glen House a short stroll found our party at the head of the Tramway. The ticket office contains an old fashioned sweet shop, where we stocked up for our 4 min descent.
The attendents made us welcome and gave light hearted safety tips to the children.
After walking off our lunch in the park and children on playground we had just time for a quick look in the museum shed before an exciting ascent took us back to our transport.
Keep up the good work.

Nice quirky attraction for the little ones or if like me an uphill stroll is difficult. Only opens weekends i believe and seasonally starting around Easter time I think until prob Oct half term (but don't quote me). Nothing much at the top but a nice pub, a friendly cafe, walks on Baildon Moor and nice properties with views to die for.

Our 'quirky' tramway is open every Sunday of the year and Saturdays from Easter Weekend until after the Santa Specials in December. We are also open on Bank Holiday Mondays. Our times do vary a little, Sunday we only run from 12:00 to 16:00 between Christmas and Easter Weekend.

It only costs £1 for a trip to the top on the cable tram. It's a real fun trip and very different to anything else I!ve travelled on. It only takes a few minutes and at the top there is a sweet shop which sells postcards.
We then walked back down the hill to Roberts Park.
Not to be missed if you're in Saltaire.

An ideal place to visit if you are at Saltaire for a unique experience of being pulled along by rope up and down a Yorkshire hillside with trees and wildlife which are used to these tram cars whizzing by . Great fun for families the kids love it.
