We stayed here over Christmas to be near to our family, and because we have two dogs who always travel with us. The price was very reasonable as well. First impressions of the hotel were excellent. It is spotlessly clean with welcoming and comfortable rooms. It is convenient for Bradford (20 mins) and Leeds (30 mins). The reception staff ( who also cover the bar and restaurant) are very friendly and helpful and nothing seems too much trouble.
Our one point of criticism was with the restaurant. The menu is not extensive but perfectly adequate for the type of hotel. However, over an hour to (presumably) defrost and serve a hot baguette and a fish pie is just not acceptable!!! I would not wish to criticise in any way the young lady tasked with preparing our meal. She was very apologetic and clearly following the rules laid down for preparation of these meals according to the company standard. It is the standards that need looking at. The food was tasty enough though hardly 'man size' portions and not cheap but not unreasonably priced.
In short, I would recommend this hotel most highly; but plan to eat elsewhere!!!
