Arrived at the hotel at 10.45 and told we would have to wait until 12.00 for room key so had a snack at the bar while we waited. We did not do that again. Rooms are small but clean as is the whole hotel. Our room overlooked a loading bay and main road so it was pretty noisey and the beds are rock hard so glad to get home for a decent sleep. We found the food to be pretty good but as stated in other reviews if you dress for dinner you will be in the minority. As we went mid September we expected few kids but that was a mistake, this place must be a nightmare in peak season. Entertainment was good for the kids but for adults it was pretty poor, we went to Hennessys Pub on the strip so we could get out of the hotel. Overall this a cheap family hotel in a good location spoiled by chavs, never seen so many tatoos in one place. Food is OK except for the bar food, bar staff are disinterested but seeing their working conditions I dont blame them. i would go to this resort again but not this hotel.

we arrived on 7th september for 11 nights 12 days it was brilliant we took our 2 boys aged 1 and 3 years the kids club was great and my 3 yr old loved it face painted, games, chocolate party, and many more, there is also a kids club run by the hotels entertainment for 4 yrs and up, we did most of the games they have there, such as archery, rifle shooting etc. there is something for everyone, we loved it so much we have booked it again (we only got back 2 days ago) the food was lovely lots of different meats and fish, salads, cakes and desserts we were told the best time to be there is september as it isnt as packed and its a lot more personal the hotel staff were friendly and polite, the entertainment team were amazing they are the main reason we are going back we met lots of people everyone was lovely and a few will be there when we go back next year, i would say this is a kids hotel so if your looking for a relaxing quiet hotel then this isnt for you but if you want a laugh and a fun time then this is perfect, only 12 months to go and counting haha :D

Room Tip: We were right above the entertainment and when the doors are shut on the balcony we couldnt hear anything

4th time we stayed at donaire park will not go back until all the waiters have lessons in how to treat guests who pay good money for all/inclusive.when we arrived asked for some drinks basically told straight pay for good drinks or drink local beer that i will not print what it tastes like but you do it down the toilet when you bladders full. thinking they will not be tipped they do not wait on you like other guests and when collecting glasses never asked if they could get us anything else.We decided to go and drink down the strip where the people treat you very good even give you free munchies. thats the bad points out of the way the hotel is clean and all other staff are very helpful work hard and long hours so some times put it down to being overworked if they are down sometimes down.food is very good/will not get a better location yes their are tankers the other side of the beach but that adds character along with the 30 odd number lucky/lucky men seems harmless if you tell them straight seems to go for younger people, stayed for 10 days did have groups of chavs who were loud but behaved themselves .we were on floor 7 above the pool area great views but generator going below all night and dont bank on sleeping saturday night as theirs a disco down on the strip until 6am and if the wind is blowing its like its in your room one night out of ten was,not to bad.i know you think heres another moaning their are more good points than bad about staying here but it was wrong the waiters treat all -inclusive customers who work hard for a holiday and to be treated this way p.s it may come across as i like a drink but we average 3 pints a night forgot to tell you about about the late night buffet all inclusive customers can only have a wafer thin ham and packet cheese not even up to tesco value standard. The three previous occasions when we stayed here when our children were young we were NOT all inclusive but half board and treated so much nicer. this has been such a shame for us as over the years have recommended this hotel to so many people, it is in a wicked location, the hotel is spotless, the food great and yet just attitudes of some staff really has let is down. Donaire needs to train its staff as what all inclusive means, it means you have already paid for what you are getting and not having it all "FREE" as some of them think.

Room Tip: 2nd week seems a good time to book seems to be more order

Fantastic location right on the beach. Hotels entertainment staff are in my opinion the best you can get, they are what made our holiday and although we were only there for two weeks we came away feeling like friends. You can do as much or as little as you like and there is something for everyone of all ages.I tried pistol shooting for the first time which was just one of the free activities available and loved it.Food excellent and plenty of it,rooms clean however next time we go i will take my own pillow but not a problem and im sure if i can asked for an extra one they would have given me one.
Pool clean and plenty sunbeds with good pool side bar.
If you get a chance to visit the house of illusions do it as we think it is worth a visit even though a bit pricey and our 10yr old loved it. The waterpark is fantastic and we spent two full days there.

My wife and I have just reurned (15.9.2012) from an excellent family holiday. We took our 4yr old grandson on a weeks holiday, his first one away from his mother. We really enjoyed this hotel and the surrounding area. The hotel and the rooms were very clean and, adequately furnished . As a disabled individual, I did find the rooms small when an extra single bed was provided for my grandson and this resulted in restricted wheelchair access. We occupied room 241.
The food and the choice was of the highest uality. The service in the restaurant and the hotel was also excellent. Some oft the hotel reception staff, had limited english but were as helpful as they could be as were the Thompson reps. The staff in the main restaurant worked very hard and always ensured that the tables were well presented and the service efficient. The area of La Pinada was very clean, excellent disabled access with excellent public transport to the surrounding area. \even the coaches had wheelchair drops, what a joy for disabled travellers.

Overall, an excellent family holiday. Would I do anything different, Yea. As a disabled traveller I would request a first floor room, as I am unsure wether of not they have disablede rooms. It was a nightmare to use the lifts to get to the ground floor with a wheelchair. The lifts are quite small.

We will be going back to this hotel next year, that just shows how mutch we enjoyed the experience. If other disabled travellors have any resaervations with regard to this hotel and the surrounding area, PLEASE DONT WORRY. It is excellent.

Room Tip: The area is very quiet, so room noise was not a problem. If disabled and have some mobility, ask for room 103, as it has a low bath.and some features that assist disabled guests.
