“FAB, FAB, FAB !!!”
Reviewed 29 July 2012

Stayed for 11 nights all inclusive from 16th to 27th July, 2 adults and 2 children aged 8 and 10. The boys tell me it is the best holiday they have had. They met lots of friends and joined in with all the Hotel run activities. They did go to the Thomas Cook kids club one night for the chocolate party which they did enjoy but I felt it was a bit restrictive in that they had to be signed in and out, now I understand this is good for younger children as it is very safe and secure, but I was prepared to let my boys have a bit more freedom so opted to let them go the hotel run club as they could come and go as they pleased. They participated in all sorts of activites like football, shuffleboard, waterpolo, darts, shooting etc and there were certificates awarded to the winners in the evening after the kiddies disco.

We were in block B which was great - yes the rooms are small but you are only sleeping in them and the plus point is that the air con is very effective in a small area. The bar has self-service soft drinks, wine, beer and sangria which is great as this keeps the queues short for spirits etc. You could buy cocktails and branded spirits for around 1.50 Euros. We had to eat in the restaurant in block B but you could get drinks in Block A. We would go to block A for a drink after dinner as the bar has a fab view out over the sea and beautiful sunsets.

Food in the restaurant is great with lots of choices. We had a different meal each night. I can only assume the people who say the foods is repetitive and always the same are the people we saw each night who piled their plates high with everything from the buffet. What restaurant would you go to for a meal and have Pasta, beef, chips, salad, burgers, fish etc all on the one plate !! No wonder some of these reviews say their food is cold - by the time you have queued to pile your plate high with everything . If you pick a different main course each night and stick to one choice you can have something different each night which we did and we were there for 11 nights. The paellas which were made for some of the lunches were great and fresh and hot, they did a vegetable paella and a mixed paella. There was a different roast meat which was freshly carved each night and different kinds of fish.

Regarding the sunbeds - there was only 2 days we did not manage to get sunbeds and we went out at 9.45 in the morning so you didnt have to get up too early but maybe had to have a search around and move the beds to where you wanted them. On the 2 days we didnt get a bed we lay on our airbeds on the grass next to the pool which was fine.

Our problem was finding our boys and dragging them away from their friends to go and have dinner!!! This holiday was so relaxing as the boys were well entertained and my husband and I could relax on our own.

The entertainment at night was great and was a different act every night we were there. The disco after the entertainment was great as 2 of the entertainment team showed you the dance steps to about 5 songs.

The slides at the hotel are great fun and we used these a lot. These are free to all inclusive customers. We discovered a hotel 10 minutes walk away past the bouncy castles that has a larger waterpark and you can pay to use this for the day. Think it was 20 Euros for adults and 15 Euros for kids. There were around 9 slides and a lazy river here and it was great as there were no queues for the rides.

All in all a great holiday and would definitely return to this hotel.

Just returned from 7 night stay, travelling with my husband and two children aged 1 and 9 years.
Highlights as follows:
- The beach is beautiful
- Lots of activities for both kids and adults
- Swimming pools
- Clean
- Pour your own beer, wine and soft drinks

Areas of improvement:
- No beachpool towels supplied
- Sunbeds are very uncomfortable and had to get up early to ensure you have
- Umbrellas for the pool area
- Snack bar needed to cover the periods where the resturant is closed

Summary
For a 3 star hotel it is excellent. Food was nothing special, but always lots of choice. Communal areas were always clean and staff helpful. Kids both loved it. All in all, a great holiday.

Room Tip: Request Block A and worth paying extra for the sea view - it's lovely

What a lovely hotel we stayed here from the 14th July 2012 till 24th July for 10 days and had a truly brilliant holiday. I emailed the hotel 2 weeks before we came to requested a ground floor room with a terrace in block A as my 20 month old is a bit of a climber and that is what they gave me but didn't expect the views of the sea which was just beautiful and 10 steps down to the beach. I would definatley say A block is better than b brilliant views of the sea and dinning room and terrace bar over looking the sea, but they tend to put all the english guests in block B which over looks the many swimming pools all ok but felt this could be rather rowdy in high season. Room was clean and tidy maid came every day to change beds and clean room the only thing it was very cramped there was 4 of us and a travel cot in there but if you don't spend much time in your room like us its not really a problem.
The hotel had excellent facilities for the children 5 swimming pools, water slides, play area, kids club.My children aged 20months and 6 loved the swimming pools especially my eldest who couldn't stop using the water slides you must pay 5e if your are not a thomas cook guest but thats not much and they get 10 goes.
The food was lovely and fresh a different choice every night lots of salads, fresh fish, steaks, pasta, pizza.although I think if you went for 2 weeks it would be the same choice as the 1st week we went all inclusive the food seemed never ending. The waiting staff very helpful and you always had a clean table ready for you.
The evening entertainment was good some of acts where really good and some where ok. A few evenings we went to a different bar about 15 minutes walk away which was right on the beach they severed every cocktail going and there was bouncy castles and a small go kart track for the kids to play on.
Had a nice meal one night in the restaurant next door to this aswell.
There is another bar area which is about a 5 mins walk for the hotel but this is a bit tacky but the kids seem to love the childrens play area.
If you have small children take then on the Thomas Train which takes you on a small tour around the area and shows various view points
Beach is lovely and clean in a cove and the sea crystal clear nice a shallow although can have big waves sometimes we spent a lots of our time here
We took a bus to mahon which was on time, quick, cheap (2,85 euro) and had air con better than our bus service at home lol. We had a glass bottom boat ride which was fun but didn't see much amazing fish life !!! Mahon has great shops if your looking for gifts.
We missed out on the water park which was a shame Thomas Cook do a trip on a thursday by coach which I would recommend otherwise it will mean you have to hire a car or go by taxi its about an hour away and will end up costing over £100 euro's for a day out
Would definatley come here and will be recommending this resort to my friends and family

Room Tip: Asked to be put in A block they have lovely views

Just returned after 9 nights 18/27th july. Myself and 2 boys 13 & 6. First thing to mention is the waterpark is only FREE to Thomas Cook guests only. There is a charge of 5e for 10 goes to other guests which in the brochures i have looked at this is not advised!!!!!!
Was in block A which i asked for but found to be home to most spanish, german ect not many english. Our room was -3 which was underneath the resturant, did not find this out until the next morning when woken up @7am when the staff came in to get the room ready for breakfast. Then from 8 all we could hear was chairs and tables being dragged across the floor so after 3 days i asked to me moved which the hotel done to the 6th floor!! and our balcony looked out onto a court yard were the Spanish guests would have their entertainment and have to listen to them talking til sometimes 3am. I didnt ask to be moved again incase they gave me the basement. The rooms were small but clean and the matresses are as thin as you put in baby cots so if you suffer with a bad back beware. I also asked for extra pillows from the maid but never got any so had to use a blanket out the wardrobe. The staff on the bar was realy good althought straight at 11pm the all inclusive was shut down so had to pay for drinks they never went over the time. Staff in resturant not the most friendly people i have met, as soon as you put your knife and fork down your plate was cleared away and then had to ask for new ones. If you asked them for anything it was too much and sometimes had to wait or ask another waitress as the previous one never came back. The food was the same day after day but just with a different sauce. If you have children who are fussy eaters then you will struggle. We ate out a couple of times at the backgammon bar and they have bouncy castles for children to play on. We also ate in a resturant called Alacade just behind the hotel as you walk past the childrens play area STUNNING is all i can say and reasonably prices. We went with people we had met so 3 adults 3 children with wine 70e...

The entertainment staff well what can i say- outstanding Xino and his team just went out of their way to make sure you had a good time and the entertainment on some evenings was really good. The disco at the end of the night had both children and adults doing the dances you just could not help yourself.

If you want a bed around the pool then i advise you get up around 5am really coz at 7 -7.30 they were all taken.
I had an ok time, children enjoyed it but i would not return. There is a nicer hotel just down the road Marina park. They had waterpark and could use this for 15€ all day.
Would return to Menorca as it is a stunning place and the beach cove is out of this world....

Dear Guest,

Thank you for providing us with your review. As we appreciate, your comment on the efficiency of our entertainment staff, in reference of the extra pillows and the finishing time of our shows, they all end at midnight so they should not have been people talking till 3 a.m.. So refereeing to the previous problems you went through, you could have requested for an extra pillow at our reception because we count with a wide supply of spare pillows to satisfy our guests’ necessities. The Menu is rotated every 14 days, matching the normal length of time of our guests’ holidays.

Once again, thank you for your review, which we will use to improve our day-to-day customer in-house service. We are glad that you and your family have enjoyed your overall stay in our hotel. I would like to express our most sincere apologies, for not gaining your total satisfaction, by not being able to cover all your expectations. Which is one of our principal aims but we really hope to see you and your family in the future, as your children spent such a lovely time with us.

If you like quiet, peacefull holidays then stay away. Not somewhere my wife & I would book.
But to celebrate my 60th Birthday we went with the whole family including the grandchildren & we had a fantastic time. Endles supply of ice cream & drinks (between 11am & 11pm ) food was great ( not a la carte, but we knew that ) plenty of choice, the entertainment was very good, especially for the kids, great swimming pools & playground & the staff could'nt of been more helpful. Hopefully we can take the kids again cos I enjoyed it as much as they did.

Room Tip: B block was good. If you have a pool view the music is loud but only till 11pm. Mealtimes are a bit...
