“Perfect beach location..”
Reviewed 15 September 2013 via mobile

We chose this hotel as we wanted to stay close to the beach and be within close distances to Santa Eulalia and the Old Town.
The self catering appartment (10B)was overlooking the sea but on a terrace so fellow holiday makers walked past your patio to get to their appt so it wasn't particularly private.Patio door was left open after the housekeeping had been in.Reception informed!
The appt was a good size if a little dated.Bathroom a little grubby. The bedroom was at the back which was the same level as the pool area, so unfortunately we couldn't open the windows as people were using sunbeds outside the window.
Pool area lovely and clean no real bed hoggers, still choice at 11am,new comfortable sunbeds.
Bar staff were welcoming and attentive. 7 euro s for sangria, 1.50 for fresh coffee, 2 euto a can (75 in supermarkets).
Lots of cafés in the resort but we left the resort of an evening so only had a frankies breakfast several times which was really good.
Bus into SE was 2 euros and about 13 by taxi.
The old town was 3.20 by bus and 23 ish taxi.
San Antonio was less then 40 euros by taxi.
Lots of variety of different restaurants and bars in other places felt little choice in the resort.
Definitely wear swim shoes lots of jellyfish...
Although I sound a little negative it was a lovely holiday.

Great hotel , very clean and well run . Location is brilliant right on beach in a nice resort .

But only small percentage of people on all inclusive and the hotel is not quite sure on how to treat all inclusive guests. Different menu , self serve coffee from vending machine , non brand shorts and beer only in small glasses . Standard was ok but difference compared to what was being served to other type of guests a little annoying...

That said food was to a reasonable Standard. The wifi was down all week and we were advised at reception it was always unreliable .

Just arrived back from a weeks all inclusive at the el Pinar, we had paid a little extra for a large apartment with sea view and we weren't disappointed. The room was large and well equipped, we had a separate double bedroom and a large balcony. lovely bathroom with built in hair dryer, and the view was stunning. The rooms are cleaned everyday and the towels changed. The food was delicious and well cooked and the drinks were very generous with plenty of choice. Snacks at the bar were freshly cooked to order and very tasty.
The pool area is really pretty and very secluded, ideal for relaxing in the hot sunshine. Cala llonga is a very pretty cove with very shallow waters, ideal for children. The town is lovely and quiet, very relaxed. I would return again, this is a lovely place to stay.

Room Tip: Pay for a sea view its worth it. We had room 221

Just returned from seven nights at El pinar from 06-09-13 to 13-09-13. stayed in room 107 across the road in the studio block, at first room seemed fine until we opened the curtains and found an area no more than 500mm wide (so called balcony) which was a disappointment, although the patio doors open to the width of the room. the maids clean the rooms daily towles changed regularly overall cleanliness of room was very good. Biggest disappointment was every day when we returned to the room was the drains in the bathroom leaving a very bad smell in the room, which did go after opening the window and running the water flushing the chain. reception was informed of the issue but during our stay was not rectified. enough of the negatives the resort overall is very nice, beach is fabulous, fantastic for families with young children as the bay is shallow and patrolled with lifeguards. we stayed on a self-catering basis which would recommend as their are many eating places that are great value for money ( flippers breakfasts bar Ibiza good value). pirate bar good place to people watch. all in all el pinar is very clean but just has issues with the drainage if this was sorted and bigger balconies WOW what a lovely place this would be to visit.

Room Tip: stay in main block with bigger balconies

We had 7 nights at El Pinar, staying in room 226. This room had a sea room and looked to be one of the bigger rooms as it was on a corner - we had a twin bedded room with a small balcony, a decent sized clean bathroom and a good size lounge area with a sofa bed (quite comfortable) and a small kitchen area. The main balcony was sizable with a table, two chairs and a drying rack. The kitchen area was adequate to prepare lunches etc but not really for cooking - fridge, 2 rings, toaster, microwave.

The hotel itself was clean and airy. It seemed to attract large family groups who were a bit noisy at times round the pool (I hate people playing their own music in public areas!) and we did have one incidence of being woken at 2am by drunken revellers in the bar (directly below our windows but overall it was quiet and ideal for families.

The beach is literally a few steps away from the hotel - there is plenty of room even on busy days. Lifeguards are on duty from late morning, there are pedaloes to hire and toilets and refreshments close by. Although hawkers do approach, they were not frequent or persistent.

The weather was variable when we went - one day was cloudy all day, another day we had a torrential downpour and one day was so windy that the sea was incredibly rough. When the sun was out, the temperature was in the high twenties.

There were dangers in the sea though - my children were stung by jellyfish and my husband was unfortunate enough to stand on a sea urchin and have to seek medical help so I would recommended water shoes. One afternoon there were loads of large brown jellyfish coming into the bay - we didn't swim! On a calm day we snorkelled near the ferry jetty - there are loads of fish there, especially when you throw bread in the water!

We ate in the hotel twice for convenience and had adequate but not outstanding food.

We had a taxi from the airport which cost 30 Euros each way.

I would definitely recommend this hotel for a fly and flop holiday with children.

Room Tip: Sea view rooms are shady for most of the day and overlook the bar - the entertainment goes on until...

My family and I stayed at the El Pinar aparthotel for 10 days at the end of July 2013. Nice hotel, good standard of room in size and cleanliness, towels and room cleaned daily, kitchen facilities, air-conditioning and fan, balcony over-looking pool. I would say the food was of a decent standard not cordon bleu but edible, only problem few flies knocking about near food serving table. Staff some really pleasant some not as pleasant. Entertainment ok, singers, magician/drag act but only 3 times a week, parrot show one day though which my son and I really enjoyed.Great location hop away from Cala Llonga's beautiful beach and clear, shallow water ideal for small children as shallow for a good distance and no stronmg currents. Overall really relaxed holidayand nice location if a bit quiet. Guess the test is would you stay here again and my family and I would!!!!!

We had a fantastic 10 day holiday at El Pinar. We were self catering but the food for all inclusive looked good. The staff are very friendly especially Vincent always very polite. We are trying to go back there next year. We had a studio for three but was very spacious and quite, these were just across the road from main reception.

Room Tip: Studios quite. Meet people who stayed in main block who said it was noisy.
