This is the best place to see in the area!!! Especially the graveyards with real human bones!! is amazing. Despite the poor facility, the place next to it serves very refreshing "ayran" and delicious "gozleme".

Dara was an important border town in various periods of history, especially during the Sassanid period.
It preserves a beautiful necropolis and church in an evocative place that deserves to be further excavated. The entrance is free and is located with a small detour on the road that descends from Mardin to the great ipek yolu (silk road)

A bit long drive from mardin town, but worth to see if you have time and a car. No need for a guide.
