I had walked to Saint Fulgent, only to find that there was nowhere to stay. I continued on and, after taking a wrong turn or two (or three) arrived at this lakeside hotel. Reception was efficient and correct. As this area is full of English tourists in the high season, I imagine that anglophones would be served adequately but, as I used French, I cannot be certain. A computer was available in the lobby for guest use,
This hotel is like a French resort hotel of the 1960s and 1970s with its small rooms and the atmosphere of its communal rooms and the setting is reminiscent of French films of that period. The dining hall reflected this and service was correct, but harried. The room was compact but comfortable. At the same time, the pool was open (even in September!) and the wooded surroundings with the lake in front were serene and restful. I found it slightly expensive at 60 euro for the room and 43 euro for dinner. Breakfast was included and the buffet was very good.
