This is a difficult review for me to make as I only stayed for 30 minutes before moving to a hotel 10 minutes away. All I can do is comment on what I thought.
I was away with work and had been booked into this place without my choosing.
I arrived in the evening with 2 male colleagues and was shown to my room by a man who insisted the men stayed downstairs whilst I was shown to my room upstairs. My colleagues wanted to check I was ok and both thought the mans behavior was rather odd. I immediately felt uneasy within the first few minutes so asked to be put in adjacent rooms but were told they were all occupied, the place was empty and I'm sure they weren't all full!
The room was nice enough decorated in a rustic Spanish style. The bathroom was pretty small, especially the shower cubicle.
It was freezing as it was December and the room is situated outside on a balcony, above a courtyard. I'm pretty sure the small portable heater wouldn't have been sufficient to heat the room.
As a woman on her own I just didn't feel comfortable staying here, it's a motel style building with passers by able to gain access through the gates and into the courtyard, without having to pass reception. I simply wouldn't have felt happy sleeping here.

We spent one night here in mid-December. The welcome was perfunctory and we had to pay up-front. The room was tiny and very definitely ´rustic´, and smelt strongly of disinfectant, as if it had just been fumigated. We had two small single beds squashed up against the wall, so that the only way I could get out was by clambering over my husband. There was only one very dim light (no bedlights) and the switch for it was at the foot of the bed. The room was dark (ok, that was part of being rustic) but also very cold, and when we tried to turn the heating on we found we had two lots of television controls and no heating control. We then discovered that the whole place was locked up, and we were the only people there. I tried ringing the internal number, but there was no reply. I then used my mobile to try and ring the external number (impossible to use the hotel phone because you could not make external calls from it), but, again, no reply. The bar, restaurant, everything was locked up until 9 the next morning, so thank heavens we were able to find somewhere else to eat and warm up.
The next morning, after a barely acceptable breakfast, we tackled the owner. He accepted our complaints and refunded half of what we had paid. The original price, 75 Euros, was way out of line considering the inadequate room and total lack of facilities, and the fact that we were in a totally deserted hotel.
(We didn´t think much of the town either. Aguimes, where we stayed the previous night, was much more attractive)
