“Excellent family holiday”
Reviewed 21 August 2014

Cannot fault this hotel at all. The Thomson staff were excellent and looked after the children with a wonderful attitude and entertained them. Hotel staff very friendly and hard working. Good size rooms and everything spotlessly clean. Would not hesitate to recommend this for a family holiday.

A lovely hotel, with very nice, friendly staff. Rooms were of a good size and quality of food and drinks was pretty good too. The food & drink is plentiful & tasty even though we read some adverse reviews before we went; having said that, I didn't really like the look of the kid's food and fed my daughter on the regular food (having paid full adult price for a six-year-old, I thought she deserved it!). The kids' club reps & entertainment team (Annie, Jet Set, Diva Dani, Ash & Mitch in particular) were absolutely brilliant and actually made our holiday very fun. The shows were all excellent and the team really did put the effort into making your stay fun & enjoyable. There were games/shows during the day to keep the adults entertained but not all the time, so you didn't get fed up with it. The beach is nice and very close by. Take a water taxi a little further afield, and you will see why people love Ibiza so much. The kid's loved Thomson the dog & all the fun they had at the various Club parties/events. All in all, I would recommend this place for families with little ones, and we would certainly make a return trip.

Room Tip: Request to be away from the main bar & stage area if you can.

Dear guest,

Thanks for your recent visit to the Sirenis Hotel Club Aura and for sharing your review with the travel community on tripAdvisor.

It is lovely to read that you spent a great family holiday among us and you felt comfortable in the room our front desk accommodated you in.

Moreover, we loved reading your praising comments on the dining options on offer; it is very rewarding to read you enjoyed every dining experience among us. We’d like to clarify that although there is a special children’s buffet in the restaurant, it doesn’t mean that children have to be fed exclusively on that meals. The children's buffet is designed to expand kids’ horizons and create new habits. Obviously, parents are the ones in charge of the election of their children’s meal, and we encourage them to always escort their kids at the time of choosing their menu.

Thank you for your kind recommendation, we will be pleased to welcoming you and your family back in Ibiza at your earliest convenience.

Best regards,

The complex is very clean with the staff efficient and friendly. The aquapark is the "icing on the cake", well provided for an hour or two every day, the lifeguards and there are many of them are very vigilant, well managed park. The room was functional and clean with very good air con ( family moaned about how cool I liked to keep it at night). The restaurant works on a weekly cycle with the food being both varied and of a good quality, I can't believe that there is anyone who wouldn't find something to their satisfaction on any night. The restaurant staff put a lot of effort into their duties especially on there theme nights. It's table drinks service as well in the restaurant. Although the restaurant also provide a good spread for lunch the bar snacks by the pool suit most, with the freshly cooked pizza's an attraction for the kids....and adults. The on site Japanese restaurant is an excellent experience, well worth the small premium. The Thomson's entertainment team put in a lot of effort and are a well balanced team, providing good family shows. Overall a good location for a family holiday.

Room Tip: Recommend the Sea view rooms. We were in Green block and it was perfectly located, not too close or...

This hotel's pool area is just not big enough to cater for the number of guests at the hotel and this takes into account, the children who are normally in the pool or at Kids club. There is no beach attached to the hotel so there is nowhere for the overflow of guests to go other than the pool restaurant / bar area. It's an all-inclusive so additional expense has been incurred to go to other beaches on different parts of the island. There is no distance between the sun-beds and don't be surprised to see many of the guests arriving with their towels at 6.30am- 4-star hotel rating really covers this major shortcoming and needs to be addressed.
Positives - food including excellent ala carte Chinese / Japanese restaurant, friendly staff and good service, sky sports on a 90 inch TV screen and water park . The hotel location is not a positive either as outside entertainment within family walking distance is minimal / non-existent .

Dear guest,

Thanks for taking the time to share your impressions on your recent stay at Sirenis Hotel Club Aura.

Thank you for considering our dining service as an excellent choice and as you said our guest can enjoy a different experience in our Teppanyakiclub restaurant and see the chef's live cooking.

We regret not having been able to meet your expectations in some areas.
It seems you didn’t enjoy the hotel location and hope you don’t bother my contradiction; although there is no beach attached to the hotel, in our point of view, the hotel is in a superb location on the seafront, just 150 metres from the Port des Torrent beach. It has a variety of services and is popular with residents for swimming and enjoying local dishes in its restaurants. The beach is 100 metres long and 50 metres wide. It has fine, natural golden sand and crystal clear waters. Many guests staying at Sirenis Aura and at the sister hotel tend to congregate to sunbathe or swim at this beach.

We would be delighted to accommodate you once more in our hotel on your next visit to Ibiza.

Best regards,

Great holiday. It's always nerve wracking traveling with young children but this hotel really exceeded expectations. The food choice and quality was excellent (ignore reviews that say otherwise - they're nuts!). Rooms and the whole hotel/pools etc are kept very clean and the staff in the bars/restaurant/reception - everywhere were always helpful and friendly and worked their backsides off! The pool area was great and the waterpark was a really great addition and provided us all with lots of fun. You can't take drinks/food from the hotel to the waterpark which is tricky with little ones but you can take your own water bottles which we did without issue. The entertainment team were fabulous (although they change each year). The daily activities and evening games/shows were varied and fun and the holiday is made all the more enjoyable if you join in! The beach is 5 minutes walk (even with young kids) and I recommend the pirate ship trip which is a nice day out with the kids. Our room was very near the entertainment stage so noisy but we were usually up joining in and when we went to bed earlier the kids slept through everything and the noise stopped at 11pm anyway which was fine. We certainly hope to be able to go back.

Room Tip: sea view is worth paying for, rooms near the stage are noisy

The hotel was average, expensive and in the middle of nowhere.
The room we had was dark, the shower went hot and cold and the air con barely worked.
The pool was good but not big enough. The water park was fantastic however.
The beach is a short walk away but full of jelly fish. We went in the sea for an hour but then an alarm went off as people were being stung.
The food was average and the staff didn't seem very happy.
The Thomson kids club was good.
The entertainment was minimal, the shows that were on were good however.
I was bored most of the time. We did take an excursion to the hippy market which was also boring. We then took ourselves to Ibiza Town for shopping and sites - this was the only day we properly enjoyed.
We did go to the A La Carte restaurant which was really good, best bit about the resort.
Overall it felt empty and lifeless.

The rooms are clean albeit basic. Food surprisingly good with good choices to suit all tastes only criticism is the breakfast cereals. Surely it wouldn't cost a lot to have branded cereals. The cereals they produce each morning are cheap and tasteless! Entertainment staff work hard and are always cheerful. My main gripe with this place is the POOL! I'm on holiday and do not wish to set my alarm for 6.30am to secure a sunbed! I've been here a week with another to go and feel stressed every morning! Everyone packed round the pool like sardines. When your lucky enough to get a bed, it takes you ages to climb out of it amongst all the other guests. This swimming pool is not big enough for the
amount of guests in this hotel. We paid all inclusive but are spending a fortune going out each day to avoid the pool! The official rating is 4 star but I would consider this hotel a 3 star.

Dear guest,

Thank you for choosing the Sirenis hotel Club Aura to spend your holiday.

Our chambermaids clean the rooms of the “in-House” guests 6 days a week. This information is detailed in the Thomson’s brochure and I am very surprised to read your comment; as of today the average score, which refers to the cleanliness, is being very positive. This was clearly not your impression and the housekeeping manager has been accordingly informed.

We regret we couldn’t conquer your palate with the breakfast cereals. The same supplier company has been serving us high quality cereals for the whole chain for years. Our sincere apologizes for not having been able to meet your expectations at this point.

The hotel offers an outdoor swimming pool, the indoor swimming pool and the water park, which is open from 10:30 am to 6 pm. All sun beds available at the hotel are placed in the outside terrace, so that there are sufficient for all guests. In order to avoid inconveniences to our clients, both in the hotel and in the welcome meeting, the tour operator and our staff advise every guest on how to make good use of the sun beds. If everybody respects the rules, everyone can have a more relaxed holiday.

Thank you again for visiting us; we hope to get a chance to exceed your expectations in the future.

Kindest Regards
